Cool 2015 Chile Challenge 4x4 Rally New Mexico

So this is my second trip to participate in the Chile Challenge. This year was the 25 annual but only the second time that it was held in Sierra County. It was held every year at the Southern New Mexico fair grounds in Las Cruces New Mexico until within the last five years the BLM and local do-gooders made it almost impossible to hold the event there.
Sierra County and the surrounding small towns will now benefit from the week long event and money spent by the participants and spectators of the Chile Challenge.
So I arrived Wednesday night and set up camp:

I took my custom built camping trailer to haul all my sh....stuff

Thursday and Friday were both beautiful October weather:

I signed up for fairly easy trails:

There were VERY few full size anything on the trail, except this Raptor:

On Friday we did "Sparky's loop" that ended up in Hatch New Mexico home of the 2015 BEST GREEN CHILI CHEESEBURGER at Sparky's restaurant:

We saw many mine shafts and old mining operations:

Saturday I signed up for Apache Gap trail. I had been on that trail about 3 years ago and thought it was a moderate trail, but rains and time had turned that trail into a level 6 trail.

Even Rattlesnake took his truck into the arroyo:

Anyway good times in Southern New Mexico. I have some videos and more pics but am having trouble with Photobucket.
more to come....

I wrench on it because I have to....
