RITS 2016 Coverage

Park chosen was stony lonesome in Alabama. Cool place and stupid cheap. No shortage of dust and hot as hell, little bit of carnage and a lotta fun! Overall theme was, "dust for breakfast, dust for lunch, wash it down with a 55gal drum of power steering fluid, and finish it off with a couple TFI modules for dessert"

Filling up all the pigs before arrival

Back on the road again

Couple pics of camp

Couple pics of Lifted Fords and I early Friday getting a feel for the place before Grease and the single Alabamonian-nite...AUBronco showed up.

Saturday wheeling. Because Grease's Bronco couldn't make the trip, he decided to bring his work wagon and post up for all the haters......literally

A few driver seat specials on the main trail.

AUBronco being towed by each of us due to a TFI module. All in all, I think he went through 14 modules..?
Here he is spotting Lifted Fords down a little gnarley hill with a v-notch while letting his cool.

Sweet ass!

By far the best trail at the park we wheeled. Partly because of the shade and partly because of the rocks. This trail claimed my spare tire. My rear end kissed a tree and it pulled my tire off the carrier plate. Easy fix and no other damage to tire, carrier, or Bronco.

My new 38's got into my bumper here and there and just proceeded to get worse throughout the trip. No worries though, I have some things I'd like to change, so version 2.0 will be soon to come. I also blew my 3rd power steering line/seal so its time to help the sag pump out with some hydro power. Long overdue.

Obligatory line-up pic with our minor carnage on Saturday. May have to zoom in on the green bronco's hood to see it's Achilles heel. Blue Bronco is rolling on beginners luck I guess ....no carnage.

Quick video of LiftedFords coming up an ATV/SxS hill.

Took a couple shots Saturday night at camp while the ribs smoked. Temp dropped just enough to make a fire and enjoy a cocktail and cigar over Bronco talk.

Sunday morning we decided to head out a for a few more trails before the trek home.

Dont mind me in the corner photo bombing posing shots. Filling up with PS fluid every 8 minutes so I can keep wheeling really builds character.. You'd think after destroying the front bumper, ripping the spare tire off the carrier, replacing a bad alternator at camp on Saturday, and pissing PS fluid more than your territorial dog that I'd just put her on the trailer. I was NOT !!!!!! Didn't matter anyway, AUBronco's TFI module struck again!!!! He was going to give her hell up this hill before she decided she wasn't having any of that.

Pretty sure there he has a hitch under there....?

Finished the day with a few more poser shots

As we approached Atlanta on our way back home we ended our trip with this on Sunday evening. *Hint* Look closely

Here's the few that I uploaded earlier. I'll mess the gopro in a little while

And since my t-case shit the bed at the QT a mile from my house, I thought I'd flex the expy

Carnage:
gadawgz71's bumper, and above you can see he knocked off his spare tire on a hill climb, that bumper just kept getting caught on the flexing tires and just got worse and worse

Good trip and no major carnage for me. Not bad since everything only had 149 miles on it. Did have a timing issue. Some how my distributor was loose and timing went to 22* and on Sunday it was loosing power and found my intake tube off behind the mass air meter. But very happy with how it performed.

I thought it was a great trip. Had an absolute blast getting the bronco back out on the trail. Even though she has one fat Achilles heel for now at least. I couldn't really be mad about the TFI failing. It was only 95* outside with high humidity doing 5 mph in the woods with the A/C on full blast trying to keep the family cool (my 2.5 and 6 month old was with us and no we didn't do anything dangerous with them in the truck) for a mere 5 hours straight. Other than that my bronco ran great. Came out with a few scratches, a non-self inflicted dent , a busted reverse light, and of course the TFI module which the parts have been ordered to fix that problem.

It was a great park to ride with great people. Pretty much had the whole place to ourselves other than a handful of jeeps and razors. Looking forward to going back there if anyone wants to ride.

Ok on to the pictures.
Lined up.

Rolling out to the trails.

Nice pics, I like that you put the bumper in the line up shot. Haha

You guys should make the trek up to PA for the bronco round up, we could use a few more full sizes.

I wouldn't say that but I don't take as many as you. It's just a pain and takes forever to post from a iPhone or iPad. Also when I'm working I don't stop much. My free time is limited but you know that.

I will get a build thread posted soon. I uploaded over 300 pics to photo-bucket last night. Took over 4 hrs. But I'm working on it.

Hopefully I can remember to take pics of the x-member/tcase/traction bar mount cage when I have it off the truck this weekend replacing that bw1356. It also looks like a roll cage, corbeau baja xrs seats, and Crow 5pts are coming soon as well. Hopefully I can make the newly organized winter rits, since the exec decision was made to not schedule these at a time when it feels like wheeling on the surface of the sun.
