Uwharrie for Novrun' 16

I took my two boys out to Uwharrie for a little trail riding with the guys from Carolina Broncos. I had never been there before and haven't done much wheeling this year. I had a three day weekend so why not right? I have lots of pictures still on the go pro and will get those up soon also.

We hit Rocky Mtn. Loop, Dutch John, Daniel and Wolfs Den.

more to come

I have some more on my Go-pro as I followed it most of Saturday. Yes, D60's front and rear can't remember the gearing though. He drove it there from VB and we by chance met him and wheeled with him that day.

Some more pics from the event.

We will tackle this climb on the next trip there.

The expy was cool. I've never seen one sas'd before. The soft top is a new addition. Found it on cl a couple of years ago and just got around to installing it. It's a kayline.

rick-did you calculate mileage by hand too? i quit believing my lie-o-meter after towing and getting 18mpg and my hand calc showed it was more like 12mpg....it was a major bubble burster! how's the Ram holding up? trans issues at all?

thanks for sharing the pics. i sure do miss wrenching and wheeling with you guys! if only Louisiana had mountains....

It most certainly is that. We came at the right time of year. The leaves were changing colors.

Yeah mine is pretty accurate when towing. The ram is rolling strong with 181k on it now. No signs of slowing down anytime soon. I'm afraid my seat is going to need replacing before the tranny.

We miss you guys too man. I wonder what Fritts is up to these days?

Fritts did an off grid exploration of Europe for a while. He's back home now and just started school full-time last semester for mechanical engineering. He got rid of his bronco a while back, i dunno what he's doing for recreation lately.
