Hey Rick,

Well now I'm doing okay, but I took her to the shop and had the water pump, timing cover, chain, gears, thermostat, fan all replaced. Then I had the steering box, rag joint and had to replace the transmission with a used one from the junkyard along with a driveshaft. So it's cost a bit already... Now she's running well enough for me to wrench on her a bit, but the condition of the timing cover and water pump were so poor that I couldn't do much with it myself.

For now I'm just cleaning up the interior and getting her presentable!

Just recently picked up my Bronco and I just picked up some pacesetter shorty headers this weekend. I have some broken manifold bolts already and was just wondering if anybody knew a shop in the area thats does good work for a man on a budget? I would like to do it myself but i don't weld and that seems to be the go-to way to remove the broken studs. If anyone would be interested in giving a hand i pay in beer!

Hey everyone I just recently purchased my first bronco a few weeks ago. I love it but she definitely has her flaws. I'm gonna be fixing some things up sometime soon. Not sure exactly when but if anyone wants to help me out let me know. I'm not the best but I wanna learn more so if anyone else needs help with anything at all I'm always willing to lend a hand when I have free time. Or even if you know how to do it I would love to learn something new. I'm trying to get involved with some other bronco guys in the area if you guys know of any meets or anything and could point me in the right direction for that type of stuff. Thanks a lot!

Did a little wrenching Sunday and Monday. I had some help from Evan and Kenny (83stickshift & Kennys94) on Sunday. Monday I was solo for the work.

Sunday
We pulled the c6 away from the block and swapped out the flexplate. It wasn't too hard got it done with a ratchet strap and a tire iron.

Monday
Got all the brake lines in place, ran the tranny cooler lines using some new brass 90* fitting and fi lines. Got all the vaccum hoses hooked, belts on.

So, in the Virginia Beach / Moyock, NC area can you guys recommend some places to eat? Best place to see the ocean? I will have very limited time, (I'll be working as much/fast as possible to get a house fixed :( ) but I remembered our Dixie chapter had a bunch of guys from around there.
