looks like these guys were just down there, so maybe it reopened. Can't imagine you'd get that many rigs there without drawing attention..

There used to be tons of sand pits around that area, they started shutting them down around the same time that they started really limiting things.

Hey, guys. I'm in Montgomery Al and was wondering if you could give me an address close to where you wheel so I can see exactly how far it is. I've got my rig in a lot better shape for road trips in the last 6 months (seals, bearings, brakes, u joints etc) and was wondering if I could come try out some of that good ole Florida sticky stuff with you? Plus, this is the most active thread in the Dixie area

96 Bronco, 5.8, E40D, manual everything (win, locks, hubs, tcase), vinyl seats, no carpet (bedliner), 4" RC lift, sway delete, custom cut fenders, and 35" MTRs. " Hell yeah I'll climb it!"

Made the trip down to Hard Rock Saturday, beautiful weather and the park was practically empty, couldn't believe it. Found a couple of gnarly sections that we hadn't been on before, a hill called Bounds and another called Hammer Hill over by Roller coaster..Bounds Hill was the steepest of anything I've ever tried, definitely a high pucker factor, and Paul had to winch me up at the top..Otherwise, the Bronco did well, knock wood nothing broke, but I definitely am going to invest in a full locker for the front, the tru trac just isn't cutting it..Was glad to have someone there with a winch, because it came in handy..more pics to follow.

More pics from Hard Rock.

Embarassaing as I get winched out of this hole by a Jeep...

better perspective of the kind of mud we were dealing with..

got hung up here..was sitting on my tranny pan and one of the radius arms..

pulled out again by the Jeep..

more hills, your guys remember this area..

well the top part was really rutted out and it dipped over to the left..this was the result..

the drivers side was resting on a berm, that's all that was keeping me from rolling over..

gave it another try and finally made it...

this b**ch was steep, we could barely walk up it...

Paul tried in his Jeep but backed out about 15 feet from the top where it went closer to vertical..

I almost made it..if I had a full locker in the front no trouble..

as it was time for the winch again...

this gives a good perspective of how steep it was..

Here is the video of me on one of the hills..took 3 tries but I finally made it..
