Agreed on all fronts. The guy I've wheeled with during the James Duff event with the SAS'd Bronco 2 the past 2 years knows the place well. He and his wife live 45mins away. He has a couple buddies coming in to wheels which prompted the trip. Def get a cabin or camper so we all can hang. They're very lenient. They do check coolers when entering the trail on busy days.

The past few years its been very difficult to reserve a spot a month in advance so I would suggest if you have any interest, no matter how remote, go ahead and register for a spot now. They dont charge on teh spot but do need a card to hold the reservation. I have a spot reserved for the James Duff event next year in November already after the persuasion from the rest of the guys there this year.

Grease is right about the cabins, they are nice and priced very reasonably. Guys could even split them if you had to for pennies on the dollar. I'm sure LiftedFords and I will be caravan'ing up on Thursday the 24th. Hell if work is slow, maybe even Wednesday evening.

'scuse my ignorance, but what does the "RITS" acronym stand for? My '88 Bronco should be trail ready in the spring so I might want to come on one of your trips, if it's allowed to invite myself along that is. I live in the Florida Panhandle and I'm looking for groups and trips I could join.

Thanks

I booked RV Site C7 from March 23-26. Wife and I plan on arriving sometime Thursday to link up with a buddy and kick the weekend off.....I ain't skeered! Its open and spacious and next to a bathhouse for after wheeling chat/fire. She said cabins were almost all gone but there is primitive camping spots, RV overflow area, and a few cabins that are very close but not on Windrock's campgrounds. I hear those are even nicer for the same money....worse case scenario.

Not that my vote counts, or that I ever really bother to show up, but I won't be able to bring the Bronco that weekend, but may get a wild hair and ride up there to spectate. That's not likely either.

I'm here!

Sorry for the excitement, it took some doing to get a new password. I'm in Mont AL and I have a 96 Bronco, several mods including a 4" RC lift, 35/12.50r15 Wrangler MTRs, cut fenders, homebuilt bumpers (still under construction) sway bar delete and lots of "redneck pinstripes". Its a former game warden truck with manual everything and I've bedlinered the floor so the top sits in the yard for fall and spring but the AC is ice cold for summer time. I've done several trips to Morris Mountain, Choccolocco, Leeds, Talladega Nat'l Forest, and it also gets used for hunting, fishing, camping, and family trips to our cabin on the lake with my wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs. I repair and maintain dialysis machines and the related water systems. I'd love to come ride with yall soon.

HAHAHAHAHA!! Well I'm in TN, and yes Windrock is in my back yard. I'd love to go on this trip, but my 95 Bronco will not be ready by then. $$$$$$ flow is down to a minimum at this time. The wife and may bring the Ranger 4x4 and meet up with you guys. I'd love to meet up with you guys and check out your Bronc's. This is my first FSB so I'm learning what works and what don't. I've had 3 early Broncos and a couple of F-150 4X4's a 79, and a 84. so Wheeling isn't a new thing for me, but I've never been to a truck event, I've always done the dirt bike, stuff there. It has been a few years since I've done that.

Got the exhaust leak fixed with remflex gaskets and grade 8 locking hardware, tv cable is finally adjusted right, and the sag pulley is seated right eliminating the squeaks. Its running pretty good now, but still has limited front end flex with the 250 leafs. I'm hoping to swap front springs with excursion springs and swap to a 250/350 booster and MC. Those wont be happening before the trip though. Maybe by rits 2018 ill be caged w/ corbeaus and 5pts with a little flex and better brakes. Pretty psyched to finally get this whore in the dirt. We are headed up Friday the 24th, but the wife and I have an errand to run in kville (gotta buy as many cases of Wiseacre "gotta get up to get down" beer as we can find). We'll be around camp in the late afternoon/evening. Hopefully the gals at Windrock will let me leave my rig there overnight both nights.

How long are stock 250 leafs. I have a set of Chevy 52" leafs (thats what all the cool leaf guys running) that I was going to use for mine that I need to get rid of.
