Well, it's April...and Earth day is in April (of course) so I'm gonna try and do my part and celebrate Mother Earth by putting a few scars on 'ol Gaia . I'm gonna go either today or tomorrow....but im only 10 mins from 7 mile, so I'm open to most any day.

so... the weekend came and went.
did you make it out to 7 mile?
Did the new lift perform as well as you'd hoped?
Any advice for the slow guy doing the same?

sorry man. this one is way over here on the East side of WA. Maybe a 6 hr. drive and sadly, 7 mile isn't worth that big a run.
we used to have some very active members on the West side, but seems to have fizzled out some over recent yrs.

No..I didn't make it to 7 mile, but I did manage to test it a little on some rugged terrain south of town, an I'm very pleased in every way...highway as well. The front springs felt a little soft at first...and it felt a little rolly in the front (probably because I removed both anti-sway bars) but I adjusted the rancho rs9000's to setting 4 and it firmed everything right up. I'm very suprised how well it takes washboards...so much less drifting. I need to do a little tweaking still. But yeah...I'm happy with it Advice?...hmmmm..yeah, have a buddy help you. ..and always remember. ...The Lord loves a workin' man, and don't trust Whitey.

ah yes... there's my smart-ass buddy Rick.

glad to hear it's working out bud, especially considering I'm doing almost the exact same things.
I could use the help... if I ever get those damn parts blasted properly.
also... could use some professional help and advice on my next home project... putting in a sidewalk and rebuilding the front porch and steps.

get ahold of me when you have time and we'll finger it out.

appreciate the notice Phill. I'll have to get my lift installed before I bother heading out to any of these local events.

still need to get my lift installed. got sidetracked rebuilding the custom fiberglass bags on the Hog and just finally got that all setup and installed tonight.
I'll be checking out the OldTown "Run Whatcha Brung!" bike drags this weekend. That and getting some much needed wind. I haven't ridden since Sturgis last yr.

I definitely want to get out there some time but it's not looking good for July either. Lost so much time to the saddlebags, I'm behind on the sidewalk and porch replacements and the ol' lady's on vacation. Her vacation is when I really have to work. Anyway... excuses, excuses. I know.

Still... I gotta get that lift in and get out this season or I'll loose my flippin' mind.

Lift ain't too bad as a solo job. Not easy either. I did my rear end solo in a few hours. Front end took 2 days because of those damn rivets. Current bronco has no lift yet...but I have 35s coming today, so if they don't fit looks like I'll have to lift it!

I'm back in WA by the way, down in tri-cities, and 7 mile is a bit of a hike for me

Welcome back to the PNW. Tri-cities is a bit of a drive just for 7 mile but we should all think about putting together a meet & greet sometime.
Maybe that Moses Lake ORV park? Never been there... but I hear good things.

I would love to get a meet and greet going! I've read posts and we almost had that meeting, the lift, of PNW members. I've been on Whidbey island for almost five years and haven't met one FSB member! what a shame! It might be my last 9 months here and when I get back I have to meet you guys! It drives me nuts, every time I see another full size I start talking to the owner about the "LOVE" we share, only to find out I'm alone out here! It drives me crazy, wish I had the money to buy those Broncos and take them to a home that will truly cherish them... O well, I've been away from my bronco far too long. When I get back lets meet up!

You're on the West side... most of the active members are on the East or Central.
If you're willing to make the drive, I'm sure we could put something together, sooner or later.

I've been here in Ever Rott for the last 14 years! Hell, I haven't seen you on here all that much! Soon as you get back, shoot me a PM. I don't have a Bronco anymore, but what the Hell, this is hands down one of the best forums currently on the 'Net.
