It's running and driving for the most part now.

I've pulled the steering column to replace the bearings in the upper half, they were falling out as I turned the wheel.

I've got all of the electrical parts fixed and it starts up with one crank. No smoke, no leaks, and runs like a top. The A/C even blows cold!

It gets hotter than I would like, but it may be a plugged radiator.

Now... I just have to figure out how I want/need to replace the stolen cat. I'm thinking about the Bassani 50150B2 with a universal 3" 3 stage cat or the Magnaflow 93307 or just replacing the stolen cat. I just have to figure out which option is better for my 302. I'll be replacing the muffler with a Magnaflow unit I've got in my garage as well.

Next step, title and plates!

Killer deal! For some reason the PNW has had a lot of good deals.

How is the rust up there?

I can only speak to the Inland NW, not the coast... but we do exceptionally well with rust up here.

Haven't been a whole lot of great buys in the last month or so... or I'd probably be owning another and looking to fix/sell mine.

Long as the water's allowed to run off (meaning 'wash your bloody truck off after mud slogging'), rust is pretty minimal. But anything like leaves/pine needles collected over a few years gets rust going, as well as the aforementioned mud. Eddie Sat for 5/1/2 years before I had to sell him, and in all that time, very little spread of the cancer. Only the ARE wheels began corroding after a few years.

Thanks all, I'm very happy with the deal. It kinda just fell into my lap. Right place at the right time kinda thing.

As far as the body goes, I've got rust at the bottom of the doors and probably at the tailgate too. It's not poking through on the tailgate yet, so I may be able to stop it with some POR15 or something.

The doors are rusted on the inside edge only. I should be able to cut it out and fix it up with no one seeing it.

Well, I drove it ~40 miles today...

I screwed up the rebuild on the steering column somehow. It's WAY too tight. It will not self center.

The throw out bearing is toast.

The rear end makes a ton of noise

The multifunction switch is messed up

It's got a leak from the back of the transfer case and the rear pinion.

It rides like an F-450

Yeah... I love my Bronco!

I fixed all of the issues with it. I've decided to down size my life, so its actually up for sale right now. It's too nice to be used as a wheeler. Id like to let someone else have a chance at a nice low milage 96 rather than destroy it.

302 5 speed should sell pretty quick if it hasn't already, that's what my brothers is and it's pretty sweet.
