So I just got the bronco lifted with 35"s and decided to test her out. Knowing I really wanted to test her I pulled the mini spool out of the explorer and slapped it into the BKO... A little annoying to drive from Keizer Or to TFS but well worth it!!!! To stretch we started off with the easy powerline 4's i.e. 4a, 4b, 4c and came back to camp up university firepower 10. Picked up a buddy and headed to firebreak five 14. All single black diamond, BKO did better then the Sammy, have some videos of that. The last Part of firebreak five 14 that is attached to crushes 14r was a little annoying with the bronco it is so tight thru there, a lot of pulling in mirrors and backing up. Then we did saddle up 16a which is said to be double black diamond, besides the entrance and exit it was easy, I thought it should be a single diamond. Came around to 7-up 17 and looked at the huge almost impossible boulder face they call a trail but we did the other 2 legs of 7-up 17. They classify them as intermittent but if you come up the north leg there is a spot in the middle of the hill climb that is harder then saddle up 16a. The sammi took about 4 tries before he made it. We finished off with the black diamond part of Hoggs back 18. The first time I went to Browns camp with the explorer (2 inch lift open axles on 33) I tried that part of Hoggs back 18 no chance in hell I could get thru, BKO made it look a little more then a speed bump!!!!! I got out almost unscathed. It took all day and it was awesome!!!!
The sammi did out perform the bronco, went places in crushes 14r that I wouldn't try. The sammi also did airplane hill 16d entrance, tried the hard part of the hill and the went around and finished the exit. The entrance and exit were pretty severe and I wouldn't try without more protection.
Obviously need rock sliders
Auto hubs suck, they were louder then a woman giving birth over the hard obstacles.
Rear hitch and trailer wiring way to low.
Need protection from rear bumper for when coming off obstacles
Nice rig, I know exactly where the sandlake pic was shot. Camp there many times lol. Video of the explorer at sandlake, the dodge pulling me out owns the samurai that went to browns camp
I am hoping to. Wouldn't mind going with a few more people also. Shadofax it would be a good reason to stretch the bronco out lol. 78bronco460 we can always put something together.
