My 67 F2Bronco Build

Figured I should Start a build thread for my truck. It started its life as an 88 xlt 302 Aod.

Got sas and 351

Some time later it became an off road toy only. With 8lug and 37's

With it just being a toy that I never drove and the ex wanting her half of what was originally her bronco I killed it off . Gave her half of what I got for scrap and gave the local bronco guys the parts I didn't want.

one empty frame.

Bringing the 67 home

Started tare down of the 67. The bed came off with no fuss as I never bolted it down when I took the flat bed off and put the original back on almost 10 years a go. But the most surprising part was that every body bolt broke free with just a 3/8's ratchet.

Now for the build. Started by getting the cab on the frame and also fliping the rear springs to bring my wheel base to around 115"

Then I proceed to cut the front of the bed off. Also built a bed lifting tool out of strut.

Got the bed on the truck

Lineing it up it almost looks like an short bed truck

All taked together skipped taking pictures of cutting the rear portion off. Cut a little more than 3 feet out of the bed now at 59"

Also at this time got my 429 put together.

Set the front sheet metal on it only to realize that the front wheel base stretch that wasn't all the noticeable on the bronco stuck out like a sore thumb on this truck. So I broke out the cut off wheels once again. Some of what I had cut out of the bed fit in the new gap in the front fenders.

And then came body work, body work more body work and some more.

Well ran out of primer and with this build being done with parts I already had I moved it in side of the garage and got my 429 c6 and 205 in place. Bringing me right about where i'm at today.

Awesome build. Is the hood going to be stock or will you have to stretch that too?

It's not custom if you bought it from a catalog!

The hood doesn't need to be stretched the stretched happened within the fender it's self. Thanks for the complements.

Thanks guys for the support, spent about 6 hours on it today fixing, shortening, and rewiring the frame and engine harnesses. The farm fixes for some of the wiring was just a little scary. Also made a new harness for my 3g swap off the bronco.

got my brake booster from the 88 mounted i'm thinking that I should go get the f350 stuff before I make brake lines. Got the steering figured out although it still needs some rosette welds. Steering column is out of a 78 used a 77 upper part of a shaft and the 88s lower portion. Built a new trans cross member it's much more compact than the last one. Also got some of the interior put back together.
