Got my bronco back yesterday from having the engine warrantied.
Seeing cylinder 8 was the one having issues, I decided to replace the injector as well with a brand new one to remove any questioning about the injector causing the compression cylinder loss.
Today I swaped out the failing airtex fuel pump with a Delphi. (It's being warrantied out, just have to pay difference between the pumps.)

Yes it will fail. WHo knows how long though, could be a year, could be next week, or 5 years from now. Thats why I gathered up the cash to get a motorcraft. It cost alot, but I doubt it will ever give me any issues.

My old pump was toast

New one went in without issue.

Right into a new tank

Replaced fuel injectors for cylinders 5, 6, 7 with brand new injectors. Than cleared codes. Next need to take her for a long drive for about a hour to see if my fuel issue comes back. But I think she's gonna be fine now.

Installed a backup camera.

To prevent this from happening when backing up to a trailer.

Permanently mounted my backup monitor. Have to run the wiring for it to the camera and power supply.

Repaired my hitch cover.

Replaced the 4 injectors on the passenger side of my engine. Replaced my throttle body and tps. I have been suspecting the injectors have been leaking for a while now cause of performance issues and watching the fuel pressure guage. Big improvement now. The old throttle body return spring had snapped and was weak at returning to idle position. The tps was throwing a code and causing transmission drivability issues.

So..... I got rear ended again at a light, by a 69 year old lady in a 2004 suburban.

This time the damage isn't that bad. Bumper scuffed up and pushed in on one side about a inch, tailgate has some small dents from the tire carrier, and tail light housing is cracked. Still gotta put her on a light to inspect the rest of the bottom undercarriage.
BikerPepe` and JGR like this.

Looks like your Bronco weathered it much better than that Burb. There's something to be said for stout bumpers!

Jeeze man, I remember the first one getting plowed into and ruined. Although this time it seems the Bronco won handily

Looks okay from the pictures. What did the close inspection show? Hopefully nothing.

I'd bet that bumper damn near paid for itself in that one.

Oh man, that absolutely sucks. Looks like that bumper saved a lot of body damage, but I cant help wonder just how much of the force it transferred directly to the frame......Given our frames known flimsiness, Id be taking a long hard look for shifting around the body mounts.

Well, at least I'm gonna guess she has insurance and hope they don't give you a hassle.

And look at the bright side. You sir, have performed a great service to humanity and cleansed the roads of yet another GM product.
