How to convert to a flip up rear window

I see this question asked a lot, so I thought I'd do a write up of this. I personally think that doing this takes away from the uniqueness of a bronco, and it is probably cheaper to just repair what you have, but if it is for a trail truck, this might be a good upgrade. Please note that this is not my bronco, I found a guy who did a very clean install, and I asked how he did it, and saved some of his pictures. He used the mechanism from a pickup topper (or cap, depending on where you are from). He had the glass and seal custom made by an RV company. It is very water proof. I have also seen people use plexi glass, but I don't think that looks quite as good. I haven't heard of anyone who has found a topper with the right sized glass yet, but if you know of one that works please post it! He has Argentina style taillights for anyone who's gonna ask. Here are some pictures:

Subscribed to this thread, I bought my BKO with a busted rear window and it cost an arm and leg to get the glass or an entire tailgate to the island.

I understand they are argentinian. The question was if someone discovered a link to purchase them. I emailed the owner last year and never heard back

I think you'll have to find someone in the country and have them ship it to you. There was a guy on FTE who offered to do it for people who wanted Brazilian tail lights awhile ago.

Not alone there Mustang people also like the European tails and some will give big money for them.
I also like the look with the extra yellow strip. Remind me of my '86 FOX body tail lights.

I wanted to do this with my '89, I figured the empty tailgate would be a great place to stash my instant up canopy and folding chairs, nothing too heavy, just bulky.
