We checked out the quarter panel on my other '64, found filler, but no rust.

Ready for her last drive. Ive had this car 28 years.

My 64 Fairlane 500

Dropped her off, almost shed a tear

Lucy loaded up, and ready for some metalwork.

New guages

They fit behind the factory plastic

Here we go..

Patches behind the wheelwell lip..

Sigh..

Scotty tossed this on to make me feel better.

Panel goes out today to be dipped, he will fix the wheel tub area, where the shabby patches were, then he will get it put on.

Wow man.... Work looks great, but maybe I missed some info about your white '64 ?

Have you sold it, or what's the story there?

White one was my first car. Had a pretty good wreck in 2000. Had a guy put it back together...did a half ass job. Drove it till last year, and its been sitting. Needed the quarter panel for the red one so i took it.

The rest of the car will be pulled apart and everything will go onto the blue one.

looks good, sometimes one has to sacrifice oneself for the greater good

the white one was very honourable to give its panel to red

sure you body guy knows, but make sure the car is damn level and supported properly before welding on the quarter
a buddy had an issue on a 70 dart, 340
thought all was perfect, but when he put car back on the wheels the quarted buckled in the middle right above the wheel well from flexing
probably need weight on the suspension as he had his leveled nicely on stands on the frames

Ohh, I see now! I didn't know you had three of them. I guess that's what I get for being so busy with life. I have NO idea what's going on in the bronco world anymore...

This project of yours is really coming along. Looks like it's going to be a pure show-quality piece when you're done with it!

Sooo...

You go out in the garage and you see this... a simple fix with a new sunvisor and mouse traps.

Those gauges are pimp. I love how they fit behind the factory plastic. I wish I could do something like that with the '66. Retain the simple stock look with newer gauges. I have oil, temp and volts in a thing mounted under the dash, but would love a cleaner look.

Got some new shiny parts.. Wife sez since we are spending so much this car should be driven alot when done, so she wants air.

Since I am going for a classic look on this car, i picked up this..

Mark IV underdash from vintage air

and this..
