That right there is why I like the sticky traps. So I can tell the little bastard while he's still alive, that I can't stand little rodents. I had one livin in a wall and the little fawk would gnaw at night on wood and wake me up. Sticky trap that motha.

I have killed 24 of the little bastards so far.

Car should be going out next week to get all of the interior removed, then its off to a guy that I know for new paint on all the interior metal. While working on the interior metal we are going to replace a section of dashboard where someone installed a modern stereo.

I keep Bounce fabric softner sheets all over in my car. Have not had an issue in 10 years. My car is stored all winter long as well. Sorry to hear of the damage.

Fairlane

I see it is a 64 fairlane. I had a 64 Fairlane 2dr sedan 289, 63 Mercury Comet 2dr sedan 260 v8, and my brother had a 63 fairlane 2 door sport coupe 260 v8. Nice little cars. I also built a 64 Thunderbolt clone for a customer. Very impressive to drive. Had the Crites stuff but a 460 instead of the FE.

Moth balls in socks. Toss them here and there throughout the car. Two in the trunk, back floor, front floor. They cant stand the smell and they are easy enough to pick up out of the car for rides/ shows.

It's not custom if you bought it from a catalog!

So while we have the interior out of the car I am going to fix a couple things that have bugged me.

This pic says alot.

I dont like the 2 toned dash, the Autometers in the custom dash is nice for driving, but is not correct for the look im going for in the car. The big stereo has got to go. The door jams were painted without removing the weatherstripping.

I went to a junk yard and found this.

It had an uncut dash

Its cut now!

Hard as the mid 60's stuff is getting to find, I think I would have taken the whole dash. Nasty about the mice. Ive had 2 '65 Falcon wagons and there is a place on the back seat near the hinge that they just love to chew open. They love the old seat guts.

I thought you built and painted that one. Did the PO do the 2 tone dash?

I am going to remove the dash panel, and add this guage panel that goes behind the factory dash. I will also be adding my factory radio.

Just curious - do you have collector car insurance on it - and if so, based on policy coverage, is damage like that covered at all? Or are you paying out of pocket to cover the repair?

I do have collectors insurance, and the headliner and R&R of the interior are covered, plus inspection of the wiring, and anything else we find.

I am paying to repaint the interior and upgrading the guages.

Car finally went into the uphoulstry shop, the glass has been removed and ALL of the interior. The appraiser is going to meet me out there tomorow, and i will load the car on the trailer to take down to the paint shop.

The uphoulsterer said there was massive amouts of deer feed in the headliner and inside of the seats.

Glad to see you still around Tim. Hows the 460 treating ya? Its weird how much stuff mice will drag into their little burrows with em. Can't wait to see how the car turns out.
