Hip Surgery

Well I was all set to go in on 3/24 for the hip surgery BUT today the Urologist did a "cyctoscopy" you know where they shove a small camera up your man part and they found a tumor in my bladder probably a residual aspect from the radiation treatment when I had prostate cancer though that was back in 2009 so IDK why I've been pissing blood over the last couple of months after 8 years?

SOOOOOO I'll have to deal with this asap but it looks the hip surgery will be postponed a bit so I'll keep ya all in the loop.....PITA!

There's a reason for ALL things, at times we may not understand why, and may never know why. In fact we may even then start to deny all things and become extremely frustrated with life itself. But where there is question there is hope and with hope there is healing and with healing there is peace & courage that gives strength to deal with the unknown. My prayer is that you seek the holy spirit that is in all of us, that you call upon that power and find the wisdom and courage to face the issue head on and through that journey your overcome with his peace.

Like itwasFree!!!! said "My prayer is that you seek the holy spirit that is in all of us, that you call upon that power and find the wisdom and courage to face the issue head on and through that journey your overcome with his peace." I think it is important that you make peace with everyone because any medical issue can bring up regrets. Unless it is said there are only two people that know was is in your heart. It is you and Good Lord. Prayers for you.

Hopefully all works out for the bladder. That can be rough. What type of hip surgery were you scheduled to have?

Sorry for such a late response. Just don't get on here that often anymore. :(

I hope your other health issues are okay, but don'tworry about the hip replacement. I have now had both of mine done. I will say the pain after the surgery was almost never as bad as before. This includes the first timeout of the bed for rehab the next day after the surgery. After the first one I was walking within three weeks and back to work in 8. Knowing what to expect and a better physical therapist I waswalking in two and back at almost 7 weeks with the 2ndone. I am not 50 yet.

Good luck

Well today I found out the results of the bladder tumor procedure and it's "papillary urotheial carcinoma, low grade, noninvasive" so we're going to check things out other the next 2 months and I made contact with the Ortho nurse and told her the news and that it's not a conflict with the hip surgery so she'll pass it on to the ortho doctor and hopefully I'll get a date for the hip surgery.......the good side may be that the bladder procedure may have gotten the all cancer but we'll see...........life is soooooooooooooooooo much fun but I'm haning there!

Thanks ~

Absolutely, I've been praying for you & it sounds like the prayers are being heard. The Power of Prayer works if you let it, I have seen the miracle of prayer first hand. Keep your eyes focused on the Lord, and seek him first in all your ways. Praise him every day even in the trial, for another day here gives us the opportunity to witness and experience his love peace and healing first hand.

If it was easy anyone could do it... wait, that's not quite right

The hip surgery thing is so much different than it used to be, they'll have you up and walking in no more than a couple days, and within a month or two you'll be your old self again, or rather, better than your old self! Just know in yourself that you'll come out the other side better than you are now

Yo Jean,
That is good!
After the THR, remember to obtain anti-biotic Rx prior to any dental work.
Times have changed for the the better since my first & 2ND THRs in 93 & 96 respectively had me in hospitap bed for 8 weeks before I could put any pressure on the leg.

More good thoughts and prayers for you!
