Actually, if you guys want, I can change it so that UNLESS you have 75 posts, you CANNOT even SEE that a classifieds area exists. :)

As I mentioned earlier, it is a good start. But in no way is a cure. But that would be my suggestion.

gay...what the fawk is the point if they can still PM sellers about said items? Seems like a HUGE waste of time and mod resources IMO...

I understand completely the need to stop the scammers from abusing the system. And if it is a rule it is a rule. I can live by it. However, I recently joined this forum for a couple of reasons. 1st - to try and learn as much as I can about engines, sytems, body restoration, problem solving ect... the forum members do a really good job of posting pics and explaining the processes needed for trouble shooting ect.. I have learned a great deal already. 2nd - I am looking for a bronco myself, so I do check the classifieds regularly. With that said, I have read and searched numerous threads. I could have easily posted some one or two word posts to build my post count, but I really try to post stuff that is relevant to the topic. Just my opinion, but if you set the restriction to high then you are going to encourage the one or two word post the sometimes just clutter the thread. I know it is probably very hard to police the site. I just thought you may want some food for thought from a noobie. I will keep reading and searching, again this is a very good forum. Good Luck!

post padding will get your post count reset to zero as well as the padded post removed. In saying that we will be checking for people who pad.

it has already been said if you register in Febuary and it is the 4th or so and now your posting in the forsale forum, your post will definatly be looked at.

There is more to the site also than just the tech sections. you can participate in the political forum as well and anything else. it allows people to see your character in your posts.

What a crock. I understand the need to weed out the spammers and such but 75 ? Some of us actually have real jobs and don't surf all day long. I have (at last count) 42 posts and I consider myself a legit member. Half the posts on this forum are BS replies to something that should have been searched in the first place.

I am looking for a rear seat for my FSB and who knew that because I don't meet the "75" rule I can't post my want-ad.

I have read the arguments and I still donít agree with the idea. IMO the classified section should be open to those that have a paid membership regardless of post count. I paid for my membership because I enjoy the sight, I want to support it and I have need to find parts and get help from time to time on tech for my Bronco. Granted I am a newer member, but the folks on this board hammer everyone for posting without searching. This site has been around long enough that damn near every topic has been covered at some time or another. So I should be penalized for following the etiquette and doing searches to find answers to my questions? Itís my experience that these forums are generally two things a social outlet and a technical / parts resource for enthusiast that dig and have broncoís that need some fixin. So because I choose to use it for the technical / parts needs only I canít post if I need something for my bronco. IMO that is lame.

flame away

75 post

I must say the 75 post rule really sucks, we all don't have time to surf FSB and comment on posts. But if that the NEW rule what can i do.

Agreed. And i believe if this site turned off VIEWING of FS forums for folks with under 75 posts, they would hurt the seller as well as newer members who would like to buy something from them.
