Required Intro? So be it.

Im a 1 of a kind Bronco owner with a 1 of a kind Bronco. Think Im being facetious? Im not in the slightest. Purchased for $23k in 1996 by the city of Arvada my truck became the Battalion Chiefs service vehicle, and in 2013 was retired from service. Since then I have purchased it and spent many a loving hour working on it. I have now made it a collectors item, and a excellent show car. If you see me driving 'round, be sure to wave. [IMG][/IMG]

Run far, far away...

Yo JustThatGuy,
Welcome & thanks for making it look like new!

For any Bronco questions it is better to ask each question seperately in Noobie Bronco Tech Questions. Flame free zone. You can also post more pictures and information there on what you did to get it to a show quality Bronco. This will get more attention and you can build up your post count to get into other sections such as Bronco and Ford Parts/Accessories (75 posts required to view).
When you reach 75 posts we can move the entire thread to the 78 - 96 Build Forum....Builds only section

As for introducing yourself to the crew here, it gives us an opportunity to hear your story concerning the 96 and provide you infornation such as:
96 Bronco-F-Series Workshop Manual (PARTIAL)
96 Bronco Owners Guide by Hiller Ford
96 Bronco Dealer Brochure
Common Replies to FAQs including for example;
How to use search (Advanced)
Baba Looey's Favorite FSB Links (lots and lots of tech links)
Here are some wiring diagrams (partial, 86 through 96) and Technical Service Bulletins, (80 through 96) same as by Ford; Search Wiring Diagrams

Enjoy our site & please VOTE FSB for Top4x4 site once daily @ Top4x4Sites.com - Listing some of the top 4x4 and Off Road sites on the web!

See my partially recovered Bronco web site ...Will need to clean up dead links & add many more new links some day. Thanks to Mr. Schwim!
THANKS to ALL WHO SERVE!

required? no, didn't think so. appreciated... absolutely!
beautiful looking retired service Bronco you have there.

with a Bronco like that, restored yourself... welcome home.

@WasACop3436 might beg to differ on the "1 of a kind" but I haven't seen him around in awhile.
He's built up more rugged than pretty though, so there's that.

@BikerPepe` WasACop was a Cal. Hwy Patrol IIRC. More 'service' than I believe a chief would drive generally.

Unfortunately my involvement with this forum will be generally off-timed as I work 10hr swing shifts, so pardon if I don't reply once in good awhile. Most of the work Ive put in has been to engine (shocker). Paint and int. are almost New, I only have done a small paint patch behind the Driver door, and will have to do the rear fenders this summer. As for int, I have installed a Police centerconsole complete with Whelen 295HFSA6, I also have a UHF and CB radio to add to the console... At somepoint... But yes despite only having bought it with 84,568or somethin miles (now 113,006 or close to this), I have had to: Remove the intake to fix a bad intake gasket, intalled a new water pump, replaced a bad block heater, clean MAF (x3 its been fine since intake gasket so this was annoying and redundant), throttle body cleaned, belt replacement, idler/tensioner replacement, replaced all o-ring on injectors (the FD fleettech replaced the injectors before I bought it as the Injectors do not have FORD anywhere on them), replaced fan & fan clutch replaced starter, replaced starter relay twice before starter, replaced rotor/cap, and lastly fuel filter (fleet techs also replaced the fuel pump, and all the fuel lines with Carquest parts, holy f*ck carquest connectors suck!). Other than that Im just keepin up on maintainin it. Also the day that picture was taken was the FIRST time Id ever washed the truck. Actually looks to be the first time ever to been washed after claybaring the ENTIRE truck. Totally worth it though.

Also Im going to the Lincoln Tech car show this coming Sat, so for those in CO who want to see it in person, you now have a date and time. And yes boulderBronco you may see my truck near Pearl or around 28th St from time to time. Also funny story to that, last year a group of 5 Germans were oogling my truck and taking photos of it on 28th. I was more than happy to leave them with a unique experience from their visit. That was something.

Run far, far away...
