Blogs

Seems these are non-existent any more? There's no link up top, and the only way I can find into them is to scroll to the bottom of the Forum page to "Blog" which takes you here:

FullSizeBronco.com - 78 - 96 Ford Bronco offroad club, forums, tech, installs

Then you can find the link for "Post to your Blog"

Honestly, I think the Blog area has more issues than just this. Awhile ago, I posted about a weird Icon.

Wierd Icon?

Still, I'm getting this icon.

I can find Blog on my Profile Page, but it doesn't allow me to edit, nor does it allow me to add. Nor does it show me my blog post in Sept '14 either.

FullSizeBronco.com - 78 - 96 Ford Bronco offroad club, forums, tech, installs

Anybody know what's going on with it? I like this feature and would like to continue using it.

Judging by the 2007 copyright and theme, I would wager that it's an abandoned module.

If you try to add one: FullSizeBronco.com - 78 - 96 Ford Bronco offroad club, forums, tech, installs

What type of error do you get?

That takes me to a new blog post. No errors come up. I can get to that by going through the steps listed, but today's blog still doesn't show up on my profile page under blogs.

That's odd. I just posted a test to my blog and it's showing both in my profile and in the blog system.

But it's not showing at the bottom of the forum page as the latest.

I can see it in your profile too. And......you're not getting that weird icon either. But my 2 most recent blogs don't show in my profile page and both have that icon of a person with a red x.

hey, @fullsize
any input on the Blog situation? We (local staff) don't know much, if anything about these.

Could you right-click that weird icon and let me know what the name of the image is? If you have problems finding the image name, let me know what browser you're using and I'll walk you through it.

The good news is that it's not on your end. The issue is that for some reason, your blog entries are requiring moderation on the admin side of things. That icon is telling you that the blog post will have to be viewed by a mod or admin and then approved before it shows up.

I highly doubt that this is intentional. As the forum software gets updated over time, default settings get changed and added and I'm pretty sure this is the result of that. If @fullsize takes a look at the blog settings in the backend, I'm pretty sure they'll be able to resolve the issue with little fanfare.

I just went in and added a few options to your profile but they may not make any difference.
None were directly related to the Blog function and those settings look like they should be fine.
That said... the back-end isn't my strong point, so let us know if that helps or not.

I could probably figure out how to approve all your entries... but that doesn't really solve the problem of why you need approval.

So far I don't see any change......

And just so this doesn't get overlooked; why isn't there a link on the new skin up top to get to the blog?

Still the same. Weird icons on 3 posts, no way to edit, and no link to get to the blog area up top on skin FOTY 2016.

Just did a test blog, seemed to work ok. And it has the edit icon.

But I want to edit a previous blog post that has that icon that's "moderated blog entry". Can that be fixed or do I need to restart that blog so that I can edit my post?

Plus still no direct link up top for the FOTY 2016 skin.

I would have figured you'd get some help on Monday. Not uncommon for them to be out all weekend but... maybe tomorrow.
