Soft top ?

Hello, I am trying to decide what soft top to go with. I have tried to read up on all of them but am having a tough time deciding which one to go with. I am looking at the Rampage top, the Fast Trac soft top from bronco grave yard, and the one made by softopper. I am leaning toward the rampage or the fast trac because I do not like the snaps on the softopper.

Can anyone who has one of these give me their feedback or if you have seen them in person give me some advice on which one is the best of the three or if there is much difference in quality.

Pictures would be great also.

Thanks

Do they leak at all? I was thinking of picking up a soft top to completely replace the hard top on my FSB

No they do not leak. To the OP, there are so many threads on soft tops here. If you look around you can find a lot of information about them.

I just hopped on their site http://www.thejeep.com/stc/bronco.html and noticed they don't make them anymore? Is there a vendor on here that has something similar?

How do you think the snaps will hold up over time? Also are they replaceable if one gets broke? As far as quality goes this one seems to be the best way to go. I get to CO once in a while so I might try to get a hold of these guys and check out there set up. If the quality is that much better I think I can get past the snaps. This top seems to have a cleaner look without the wrinkles in the windows ect. Have you seen any of the other tops to compare quality?

Thanks

Those soft tops that you linked to is not as nice as the stc. Look at the rear windows, it has an odd cut that doesn't flow well like the STC.

Compared to the SCT that has a better cut window

,

**edit it looks like a little reading into that thread that saltlife linked to states: 'Please note that the side windows in the photos are not accurate. All Bronco tops now have windows similar in shape to the original slant style"

Nice! I'll be placing an order soon

If that's the only one to go with, then that's it, but in no way it's as nice looking as a top as the STC,

Yes Hefty is one of our vendors and yes that top is similar. Might not have been what you want. But it answered your question. All i was trying to go for there bro.

to anyone that has a soft top...

It's been said that they don't leak water, how about dust? my tailgate seals are bad and if I drive for a long time on a dusty dirt road I get quite a bit coming in. If I had my tailgate seal replaced, I'd imagine this wouldn't happen on mine stock, but what about with these soft tops?

i haven't driven on a dirt road with it yet, but the rubber seal that mates with the Tgate is pretty good.

Where we go one, we go all.

thanks! although I do have to give you a little bit of a hard time 37 inch tires and never been on a dirt road?

I understand you meant never been on a dirt road and had the soft top... just had to say something

I'd be interested in finding this out though, I live in the country and if I chose to I could go almost anywhere around here on entirely dirt roads, so the dust coming in is a big issue (although apparently not big enough for me to order some cheap tailgate seals).

STC is no longer in business. Rampage now has the STC design made in China.

That was a Proto type soft top thatis on that bronco above.
This is the finished Product by softtopper:

If you wana see more of it you can check out my photobucket at:

Hefty also sells it as well. Cheaper route is to go throught heafty cause of the free shiping to FSB members.

On the softopper top hows does the back window secure down? It looks like it rolls up around some type of tube, how does that tube lock onto to the tailgate? Also would it be possible to fold the back of the sides in so when you roll them up it does not stick out the back so far?
