How difficult to pull 302

I finally got the chance to finish my motor after my honey du list.
I will be hold tranny with straps will use smaller wheels up front to lower it, will remove hood to make life easy. Am I missing anything?

Below is link to motor on test stand. My plan is to run for 15 min a time on stand before swap end of dec.

Why are you running on stand? New cam?

When you shut it off (since their is no exhaust) stuff something non-flammable into the headers. You don't want the cold air racing into a hot head.

Photobucket Album ....and a crap load of pictures....

Yes new cam. Running on stand to find any issues before swap. Already found main seal was leaking. Plan is to run motor with water this weekend with 15-20 min runs to check for leaks. Any odd sounds ect.

but having to install the cooling system twice causes more chances for damage (improper use of a screwdriver...been there done that) or leaks anyway. If you do the job right you'll have nothing to worry about.

Cooling is done via a water hose through thermostat water neck. Insert wrap at water pump outlet and regulate water flow.
