For road and desert running, just run the TTB, Solid axles are great for mud, trails, and slower wheeling. Width= spacers, backspacing, wider tires, etc. DD? you can dd a solid axle, no doubt about it. if done right it can ride as smooth as a ttb, just personal preference.
