Wes here. New to Forum...Would love some advice on how best to utilize this Site!!

Hey All - Ive never actually used a forums group before, and am trying to branch out. I have a 93 FSB 5.8 Ive had since I was 16 (now 37). Only car/truck Ive ever owned/driven. 380k on original motor; rebuilt tranny once. Been to all lower 48 states, and from CA->NYC and back now three times. Also lost my virginity in the back-seat. Will never let her go.
Curious on other users mileage too. Anyone over make it to 500K on the same motor?
Thanks for having me!
wes

Welcome, Wes!

I certainly have never gotten that many miles out of an engine..... never had one that long, but hope to on our 1981 Bronco (new 302 last summer) and on our 1995 PowerStroke (122K miles on it now).

Since you've had your Bronco for so long, what has been your normal routine as far as motor oil?

Welcome to the forum. Loads of good info here, if you are good at searching (I'm not, lol). That is amazing, 350k and only car. I had an rx7 for 19 but only put 125k on it. I just got my 93 Bronco, always loved them. 203k, but only 80k on the 5.8l.
Enjoy the forum.

Yo Wes,
Welcome to FSB & Good job on filling in your Bronco info!
Usually new members introduced themselves in the Introduction section. For Broncos questions, it is better to ask each seperately in thui Noobie Bronco Tech Questions. Flame free zone. This will get more attention and you can build up your post count to get into other sections such as Bronco and Ford Parts/Accessories (75 posts required to view). Other sections require 30 posts.

I guess that you had the cruise control recall work performed, so here is some info on:
Common Replies to FAQs
How to use search (Advanced)
How to POST PICTURES
Here are some wiring diagrams (partial, 86 through 96) and Technical Service Bulletins, (80 through 96) same as by Ford; Search Wiring Diagrams

See my partially recovered Bronco web site ...Will need to clean up dead links & add many more new links some day. Thanks to Mr. Schwim!

the best advice i can give on using this site is SEARCH. odds are, if you come up with a mod idea or have a problem with your bronco, it has probably been discussed on here before. now, thats not to say there are no new ideas out there, just that this site is a fantastic resource!

also, just to give you some material to look over:

Baba Looey's Favorite FSB Links (lots and lots of tech links)

this link is "stickied" so it appears at the top of this section, and it is by far my favorite thread. theres tons of mod ideas there, and lots of help for mechanical issues you might be having.

welcome to the forums, and hope you have some reading time set aside. this site is addicting, i spend way too much time on here and not enough time working on my bronco!
