Picked up cheap bronco today

Found a 1989 bronco for next to nothing (400 bucks) was suppose to run couple years ago but of course we all have heard that...... Few things i've noticed so far has cracked header on passenger side, missing dipstick tube and stick (anyone have a extra one laying around?), passenger window busted and windshield cracked good from a tree limb... try to post some pics later today

Well slipped over to salvage yard during lunch today and found passenger window glass and some other small stuff. Crazy thing couldnt find a dipstick tube and stick. Anyone know if one from a mustang with 5.0 will work?

Sounds good I plan to put that window glass in and try to fire it up this weekend after looking at all the plugs and cap, fresh oil, air filter, and draining the old gas out of it.

Soooo any cheap recommendations on some shorty headers? Did quick ebay search and found these Black Exhaust Headers Manifold System 87-95 Ford F150 & Bronco 5.8L Pickup Truck | eBay anyone running these??? thanks

The mustang dipstick won't work. I have one laying in the parts pile. It's too short since the oil pans are different.

Wow, we picked ours up one day apart. Mine was also a cheap project and had Flowmaster stickers and what looks like it might be a custom exhaust, although I haven't crawled under to take a look yet.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can get some drier and warmer weather so I can look around pull-a-part for dipstick and tube. Looks like just the broncos and f-150 are the same from what i've found so far. I did find place online can order both new but they were proud of them 65 bucks seemed little high for tube and stick to me.....

If it's an 89 with the 2 fuel pumps, i think you'll need a tank off an 87-89 bronco. May be able to use a few years older but I'm not sure. I know the tanks are different on the 90-96 with a single fuel pump. A lot of people will get a 90-96 tank, sending unit with pump, and fuel lines so they can "upgrade" to the single pump system. It's not really an upgrade just easier to diagnose issues if there's only 1 pump vs 2. You'll need all those parts off a 90-96 though since they are all different from yours.
