I wouldn't call it a "Holy Sh!T!" kind of improvement. More of a "hey, right on!" kind.

sorry guys. my original pics were jacked up from supermotors maleware problem. Never got it fixed after it was resolved, until now.

helirich: Mine we're summit, as referenced at the part number pic at the beginning of the thread.
They obviously have a very healthy "flange".

Evan_P:
Here, you can see the EGR tube pre-installed.

In this pic, you can see the tube entrance to the header, just under the first plug at the bottom of the pic. Hope that helps.

I hope somebody will chime in here... but I replaced my plugs for the same reason and the truck was sold before I ever had to go deal with it. I'm going to suggest a swivel socket or removing the header, but as I said... I never had to go back after it.

Even IF someone chimes in here on your question, no guarantees. I'm pretty sure I've still got that little bracket in my toolbox. I think it was meant to help relocated one of the accessory parts to clear the new headers. Unfortunately, I did this writeup over 10 yrs ago, so it's long since gone in my mind. sorry.

I would have expected more vulgarity and flying wrenches but great work! All header can be a major PITA, I like either Allen bolts or header studs to make my agrivation a little less, stainless is your friend fastener wise.

I think the bracket is for A/c or PS, I can't remember but the bracket in certain locations is used where a manifold, stud would have been to mount a bracket.

So all you did was zip tie the secondary air crap up out of the way?

@BikerPepe`

I just unboxed my set and the instructions say it's for models with a "secondary AIR tube".

I quote: " on the 70-1323170-1325 models, the secondary AIR tube has a plastic diverter valve at the rear. This valve must be moved away from the header by using the steel bracket included. This bracket will bolt to the tubes location and the tube will mount to the bracket."

The engine they are going on is a 96 f350 with a 351, that is speed density. It has some odd emissions equipment that my 94 and 95 didn't have so I might find out. I know half of that crap is unhooked though so who knows.

Pulled my y pipe off and cut the ends off to remove the two-bolt flanges, so i can re use them on my new custom y-pipe. The driver side had 2.5" pipe, while the passenger side had 2.25" pipe... From the factory. This is a 96 f350 with 351. I thought that was rather odd.
