the speedo on my 94 is not working. I purchased a VSS just have no idea where it goes. the sensor on the rear diff is strictly for abs. my chiltons gives no picture or general area where to even look.
HELP

94 5.8/E4OD Edelbrock efi intake, jba headers, transgo shift kit. 6" PC stage II, 4.88 gears, front Aussie. Warn HS9500, custom bumper and sliders. RedHead steering and TieRod flip.

Found it 32.7 dia. 636 revs per mile=8.59 but this is for the above tires I have. Now to get in the truck and change it.:Pickle:

P.S. So even if the batt. is disconected it will hold the new setting????

Cool

Ok,I done it,but till I have some one run along side of me I'm not sure if it really worked. (E 08 6 was in the begining. Now it's E 08 5 so it must have took the new setting.I wish the test mode would just show 8.59
I hate to use one of my 5 more times to check it.

Should be a spot on the very top of your rear chunk for it. if not look in the back of the tcase

Quick question:

I did this way back when I put 33's on, and now I went back to 32's

would the best option be to use the advertised diameter(I have sport kings~ the same as BFG's) of 31.7 or the actual measured diameter on the vehicle of 30.25?

When I did the 33's, I used the actual measured height on vehicle.

You can check your conversion number--just dont ground out the single wire,Press and hold the reset while turning on the key, press it i think 2 more times and it will show it without worrying about reprograming or using a time.
Have fun

So you're saying that Ford & all the people who've posted success with these instructions are wrong? Or did you just not read the first post in this thread?

So you DIDN'T read the first post... And apparently, neither did imlikeojnow or william_ace.
