Its never too hot to do some wheelin. I dont even have a/c in my ride.

I would like to go up there but i think its a little too far. Plus its hard gettin up the hills on the highway for my in-line 6 with stock gears and 35's

While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I respectfully disagree...113+ degrees is far too hot for me to have any inclination to go outside, much less wrench on my truck or go wheeling (and mine has AC). I work outside about 70% of the day (depending on my client location) wearing dress clothes . I'll be cowering in the AC as much as possible until October.

I still need to relo my TFI module, last summer it overheated and stranded me until it cooled off.

As for distance, Payson is only 75 miles from Mesa and offers some elevation. While not cool, it gets the temps under 100 degrees. Flagstaff is about 150 miles, temps around 80. I'll be trying to make a few camping trips up there this summer to escape the hot. I just returned from 2 weeks in MA, so this week's temps are a kick in the sack.

I don't think that I will be taking the long trips this summer but, in the fall when it cools down I might consider them keeping in mind my budget as well.

But as for Summer wheeln. I stick close to the water, being a former squid and all. Its actually not that bad. hit the trail, grab a cold one, do some wheeln and hit da BEACH for cool down and relaxin....

I think I will be heading back out there next weekend to relax a bit and hopefully we will do a Bronco run again the 2nd weekend in August.

That sound good Beast, the 15 or 16 would be best as I moving back into MESA on the 1st of Aug. ( friggin heat stroke, I feel it coming) Any volunteers to help with the move on the first would be greatful. Brews and pizza will be provided.

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Yea, but no. I traded it for this sweet 74 EB. Not as tall and not as wide but will go anywhere I point her. Now that it'll be back in Mesa, it won't take a tank there and back.

And yes Amsterdam is awesome, been there done that...

Almost. Have to get the trans dipstick in (cant get it to line up properly to get the bolt through the dipstick tab and into the trans bellhousing), install the drivelines, fluid/filter/gasket change, rewire the pigtail to the solenoid and thats it. Probly another 3 hours work. I hope I dont have to do this for a long long time. If that trans thats now in the Bronco is no good, I am gonna freak out!!!
