Well that put a damper on things today. Ripped out my 8.8 and compared it to the 9 I am putting in and the 9 was from an earlier truck. Going back on the search for a 9.

here are some of the oldest pics I have of the bronco

this is also in the works at the moment

Good stuff, I have a feeling we are going to have a great run between now and December! 95bronco12, not sure your timelines but if you pull off a SAS live during the contest that would be way cool!

Below are a couple of videos from the weekend. For those of you unfamiliar, 4 wheeling in Sedona is a great time and popular thing to do but it is also one of the staples of the tourism industry there. The more popular trails, like Broken Arrow are choked with tour Jeeps most of the time. The obstacles are challenging enough to impress and scare tourists but tame by real rockcrawler standards.

In the first video I'm driving up the 'Jeep Slide'. Just a very steep section of slick rock with drop offs around it. Tour Jeeps drive down the slide only and it is steep enough you slide some even with your brakes locked and the tourists scream due to the steep angles. Pics and videos don't do it justice. Locals however like to go up the slide. The first portion of the video was me a few years ago with 31's and an open front, then its this past weekend with my 35's and trac-loc front.

RzMDtO9QxKI

The next video I shot was driving up the 'Staircase'. This is another obstacle the tour Jeeps only go down and will actually give you crap for going up. They pay the forest service for commercial use of the trail and would rather this be a 'one-way'. To me, as long as you are respectful and don't block their traffic then they won't bother you.

The staircase is actually pretty impressive in person but looks lame in my video. The sun was also behind us so it is a little washed out. To put it in context the best I could I edited up about a minute and a half from the Top Gear episode shot in Northern AZ. If you have the time, watch that first:

The Top Gear guys make this seem sooo dramatic:

And here is the drama-free Bronco version:

Ever sense I was a kid I have had an obsession for older trucks. Didn't matter if they were ugly, lowered, lifted or other just had a love for them. Now I am not sure where it came from either my dad always owning an old 4x4 or hauler or hell maybe it was just the insanity within. Well long story short my love for old 4xs has always been strong, but when wheeling the crap out of them you are very likely to end up like me on countless occasions. Left in the middle of nowhere minutes before the auto parts store closes under the hood.

Though its always a good time no matter where we wonder to in our trucks life is an adventure take it one trail at a time.

My Bronco isn't immune from having to pull work duty occasionally, but I typically wouldn't take it for firewood. However, the place I cut is so beautiful I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a small load and snap some pics.

This is what I love about Flagstaff, we woke up Sunday morning in Sedona in a campsite in a cactus field and the same afternoon I was among the Aspen trees.

Brought ole Henry out with me:

And now Henry is ready to head home....

I've got nothing new except I'm going with a diesel /5speed drivetrain. I have the motor but not the tranny.

Well that's kind of a big deal! What diesel do you have?

As for new stuff, I plan on recycling lots of pics myself so let's keep them coming.

We haven't cactuses, but we are have that. IDK, how it can be in english... Сow parsnip? Right? Hogweed? BTW it's danger and can be poison. And it comes to fields more and more - taller than human height.
