Yeah, the gears &ls were already in the 3rd member. So we just swapped out 3rd members. I was willing to give it a try. This past weekends situation sealed the deal on a locker. Those pics will be later on in the competition.

More pictures you ask for? Here you go my friend, how about a vote for my ride "Filly"?

The bumper guards just ain't my thing. So I replaced them with a suitable alternative.

Cactus smasher, just needs some scuffing and paint.

At this point the real work began.

I picked up the red Bronco body and frame which was in much better shape than the one I had.

Had some rust on the floors

Decided to use the frame from the red one, it was in much better shape, just needed to weld on some frame savers then it was off to powder coat

It is a thing of beauty!!!

Love this pic of the old and the new! You can see the original Bronco being loaded on the trailer for scrap. I stripped everything that was salvageable and sellable.

Axles went to a good home, an Early Bronco build up

And off she goes to Bronco Heaven...

After I moved up to 35's, I never got a matching spare. I just had the 33 on there just incase of emergency. Finally picked up a matching spare and got a license plate mount for center of the wheel. (much better than zip tied to the jerry can)

SOLID AXLE TIME WOOO. Slight backstory I had no time to get my sas done and was waiting on it for months. Finally I decided my slowest time at the shop was between christmas and new years, so the front end came out christmas eve and the solid axle was installed and the truck drove out christmas day way into the night. I spent a lot of time with my family and then drove 25 min away to get her done when everyone went to sleep.

going to my new shop

I ran into a sick deal of like new 39.5x13.5x16.5 radials Iroks on 8 lug aluminum wheels and I pulled the money together to pick them up

there are no words for how excited I was to see my truck actually looking like a truck, it was almost driveable my pinion angle was really bad, and the rear squated and had giant lift blocks to match the front, so I solved it all at once with some Sky manufactoring shackle flips and stock shims

much less squat

much better pinion angle

Oh and this is ready to be hooked up. I got a tach that only goes to 4,000 because the 4.9's make all their power on the low end. I thought it would be cool to have the needle to a full sweep when shifting through the gears!

I bought this gem from Baldkrs but I got it with his frame rails still attached and welded together. So my plan was to get them off and make mounts so that I can bolt the bumper on and off incase of motor swaps or anything else.

plasma cut old frame off

some paint and let the fun begin

some foglights I had

and now my winch was really cool because a long time customer knew I needed one for my truck and he won a warn zeon 1500$ winch in a raffle and the first thing he did was call me and tell me I have to buy his winch for dirt cheep so that one of his parts would be on my bronco so here it is. Then it was sitting in the back of my pickup after I ran all my errands that day and my girlfriend knew I wouldnt be able to sleep until it was installed so she insisted we go to the shop at midnight and get her done

good friend of mine suprised me with this once he saw pictures:

Speaking of axle swaps, I picked up this set of '03 F350 axles for a song

A Sterling 10.5" and Dana 60 combo

Complete with Warn Manual Hub conversion

4 wheel disc brakes, sweet!

Began work on the tub, had to see what the condition was like under the paint

Passenger rear had been smashed pretty good, cut it out and replaced it

Fenders look pretty good

Assembling the frame, getting ready for front suspension to go in

More powder coated parts, pretty!

1 1/4" Heims are BIG!

Did a little bumper work today. Found a generic fairlead mounting bracket and cut it so that I could weld it to the front of the bumper.
