I cant forget about the rock sliders! Here again is another classified buy. I found these off a guy that was parting out his JK. The measurements checked out fine, so I bought them for $135

I had to cut off the mounting hardware and weld up my own to mount to the frame.

I then had them bed lined to match the rest

However I did not have them spray the bottom. I figured it would be easier to slide off an obstacle with just paint.

Those sliders look nice M2A2C. But not as nice as the pink caddy in the reflection of the Bronco Whose hot rod is that?

With the long arms installed I wanted to go with a good soft flexable spring. So a call to wildhorses and I had their 4" progressive rate to work with. The bilsteins are 5165 and are a bit more stiff (360/80) to handle the flex.

In the rear I went with the wildhorses leaf's as the deavers are $100 more and sag too much when loaded down. Again I went with the bilsteins 5165's in the rear.

I had to get a longer drive shaft with the added lift and flex. So I called Tom Woods with the measurements. The painted 3rd member added 25 more horses

I wanted a cool yet different dif cover for the d44. Found one I liked at Currie ent.

That little gem belongs to my 2 daughters. I hope when they grow up they don't drive my bronco like they drive that thing. I will need bigger bumpers! When I moved into our new house I upgraded to a 3 car garage instead of a 1 car However I still have to share with all the kids and wife. Sooo I was granted the 3rd car area and basically back to a 1 car garage again

I wish I had a detached garage or shop to work in (with a lift). But I make do with my little space. Because I share with the kids and all, I have to make sure my work space is clean and tools are picked up. My Dad didn't teach me much about auto mechanics, but he did teach me to take care of my tools and keep a clean work area. It also makes for a quicker install of jobs and a safer work environment. I am still teaching this concept to my kids. I don't know what it is about floor jacks that make kids think it is fun to use as an elevator .

Anyways, Nice job on the suspension. I see we are both in the Bilstein shock club. Those radius arms look awesome.

I still use the floor jack as an elevator some times...

LED Lights under the hood, just in case it gets dark. These are wired to my yellow optima and can stay on for a long time.

Now in that last pic, I love how the headlights look. Must be the bezel that's throwing me off. Awesome rig nonetheless!

Some more wheeling! Somehow I got my wife to get out and take some shots of us.

Burried the rear tires because the limited slip was slipping. I had to back up and give it a little more skinny pedal.

Stopped, locked it into front wheel drive and went down the beach.

I had just finished up the majority of my build in late August. So I do not have many wheeling photos yet. But the month is not over!

With so many modifications done all at once. I am in that time of checking everything is working properly (I'm sure you have all had that feeling when done). Here are some photos of the interior being finished up. Only my bronco friends here would understand and know the differences in these photos.

I would later remove this.

In the mean time I added this, and later swapped in LED bulbs.

Seats from Jegs. They look cool and have good side bolsters but are moderately comfortable. I may look at swapping these for others down the road.

I switched to a grant steering wheel. The old console had to go. I wanted one with "actual" usable cup holders. I had seen some other members do this install and liked it. So I got a center console from a 2010 F150.

Instead of rear vents I added the rear 110 outlets in each opening. The inverter sits under the console.

I moved the column shifter to the center console factory unit. The parking lock out is fully functional, along with the lights, and overdrive button.

I then added the front console with a switch board. This console includes the air gauges, lockers & compressor switches, all the lighting switches with relays from 1-5, and separate voltage displays. The voltage on the left is the auxiliary, and the voltage on the right is the main vehicle battery. They are separated by a battery isolator. Both batteries can be charged together. The switch in the middle will connect them together if needed. I have had to "jump" the vehicle battery once or twice when I had accidently left the key on accessory several times.

With the park lights on:

There is a VHF radio (with a NOAA weather option), and a CB mounted inside the console, along with an IPhone jack for the radio, and 2 auxiliary USB ports. I also added an air chuck to be able to blow off dust and things when cleaning afterward.

I also added a autometer A pillar 2 gauge pod with a boost/vacuum gauge, and tranny temp for that E40D.

What have I done thus far to make this Bronco better?

-wildhorses springs & leafs
-long arms
-headers
-dual exhaust
-carpet

What's next? How about a little seat recover action. FordFilly had the seats measured and had replacement covers made. They came with the deal.

What I'm taking off. The Eddie Bauer brown obviously doesn't match the white and blue.

Jump to the back seat

All done and back in there places.
