Ok, here are the first serious travel upgrade on our bronco. It was 2010 and we really want to make first longer trip with our BKO. So we decided, that best will be to sleep in roof top TENT. Because the Hardtop structure is how it is... we have to made cage inside and holder platform on it. Lot of planing and of course lot of work but then we have great looking expedition accessories :)

Then we bought second hand RoofTopTENT and can going out for first short testing :)

so there sits again. This was after fixing the two front cab supports on the firewall and the bottoms of the b pillars. Everything underneath was painted to about 6" from the edge and the firewall painted. also welded up a crack on the inside roof support, right about where the sun visor mounts. seemed like a wierd sport to start a crack.

I used 3m 2 part panel adhesive on the upper quarter panel to inner bed side, and welded the tailgate and door panel sides. The new wheel wells were welded in after a day of letting the adhesive back in the sun.

and then the two part epoxy primer went on..

on the inside I did some Spray dead (brush on) go figure lol and top coated it rubberized undercoating just becuase. really did make a differece now that I'm driving it. I did three coats of each. On the insides of the doors I used some 12x12" dynomat tiles

hit everything with a black seal coat

the hard top got shot with a single stage satin black. I had a whole quart of it, so I think I put about 9 coats on the hard top since I didn't want to save it.

apparently the day I painted it, i was so tired i didn't take any pics. So the next day my windshield guy came

paint is Jaded Green from eastwood. Its the color they use on the magazine covers, the old mustang. My base coat laid awesome, however they clear coat gave me a very even texture. Not sure why it did that, but I plan on wetsanding the crap out of it once I gets a little warmer out. What a great use for that $100 gift card for FOTM!!

so then the wife found these tires for $900 for all five mounted and balanced. I hit my stock wheels with some dupicolor satin black wheel paint. put a curtis class IV hitch on it. Those are Spyder Smoked Tail lights. The only ones I could find that were just like oem but with a smoked lense. swapped my door handles to black ones from lmc. I would have donw the locks but I couldn't get the ignition key to match.

forgot to mention up there that I also deleted the b pillar seam. Seamed pointless to have to me. I also deleted and filled the antenna hole. and you can see how awesome that color is. It changes shades of green depending on the light. At night its jet black. I can't wait to get my bumpers done and painted.

I saw everyones got new radiators too lol. So heres mine, i went with a a 3 row all aluminum.

We changed the back seats. We dont need 3 places in the back anymore so put there two smaller separately seats from Renault Scenic. We put it into oem fabric from original back seat:)

What is the deal with the NJ weather. Its killing my weekends to get stuff done. Move bumper finally gave me a tracking number so that should be here in a week or so. Just got a package full of rock lights. new dpfe sensor came. Got my leds for the cab visor and clear lenses. Paints all here for the protofab rear bumper and front one. I have the 2011 explorer leather front and rear seats sitting in my shed. sub, amp, and black vinyl fabric waiting. Just can't catch a break on the weekend weather. Driving me nuts. On top of it I have to go easy on the bronco since its the daily driver right now while I get my beaters head milled. Work with me, mother nature!!!

I'm looking to order some fogs for the move bumper but I'm not a fan of the leds because they glare so badly. Any got some suggestion on 3" square fogs? I'm looking for a white 4300k set and yellow 3000k set.

I'm starting to get jealous of all the other contestants. Wish I could have not had to deal with rust. So over rust. Whole dang summer was rust removal. But at least I'm now rust free!

Been wondering why my back and neck have been extremely sore the last five days. Got a fever so went to the doctors. Get to add lymes disease to my added hate for Mother Nature this month. Can't catch a break. Weather seems to look good for the end of the week so I'll hopefully be posting up some current progress pics. I think I'm going to start with the rear bumper so I can finally carry my spare again

ok guys... let's keep it ON TRACK here. plenty of other places for casual conversation.
this thread is DEDICATED to the CONTEST.
Let's take this seriously because the rambling de-rails the thread and kills interest in the contest.

We'll have to start deleting de-rails and hijacks if it keeps up. Sorry but I hope you can all understand.

Sorry. Wasn't any recent post so I was just trying to post an update

Found a pic after I rebuilt the engine. I rebuilt another 302 at the same time so I can't post pics without lying and saying I know which one it was. Lol

In the pic I was trying an explorer front dress bracket just to make sure it would be a bolt on

A few more pics here of the smoked headlights. That look didn't last long...the tint really effected the brightness, especially at night. I wasn't thrilled with how it looked, and a County Sheriff told me he wasn't either when he pulled me over to inform me that they were illegal.
...but this is one of my favorite pics.

There's BikerPepe, showing his support there in the back ground.

Here I lost the smoked look and opted for some crystal headlights. Much better. Other changes as well: nerf barfs I scavenged off an 86, cut and painted front bumper, painted door mirrors, and tow loops off a 98 expedition.

Here she is in the workhorse days...fully loaded with tools of my trade.

New Tstat held in place with a couple dabs of right stuff - if you've never used permeated right stuff on anything, you need to. They aren't kidding - it's the right stuff. Awesome product. This makes it easier to reassemble.

And.......yes the old tstat was open and check the temp in the background

So my hunch was that I had heat before the rad upgrade and no heat after the double row upgrade because even with the thermostat stuck open the engine ran warm enough to provide heat with the single core but when I put the two core on it could not overcome the cooling of the new 2 core and I think this proves that. We'll see when I get it back together!

@RicoBronco the smoked lenses are illegal here too, including the ones that cover your license plate. The five-oh gave me a warning on that, on my mach1.
@remco that's a deep hole you found yourself in. I'm jealous of all the scenery you've got over there, it's definitely beautiful.
