Chris, Yes, I saw a small block ZF5 4x4 trans in a white '92-96 Ford F-250, engine already gone, but BW1356 Transfer case still there

BUT the shifter was gone as well, not just the handle, but the assembly.
It might be worth it to go pull off the rear Trans cover to make a 2WD trans a 4X4 trans.

Couple of finds at the Santa Fe Springs Ecology

81 Bronco mostly complete with the saught after factory BLACK interior it also has the factory roll bar in it.

96 Super Dukey. Diesel, has a ZF trans sitting next to it, Dual battery trays, 3g alt (I unbolted but decided to leave it.) Hydra-boost brake booster and for someone looking for a kick ass air compressor there is one sitting under the bed. That, the air tank sitting over the cab and a little engineering and you will have one awesome shop air compressor.

Bronco is in the southwest corner of the yard the SD is in the ileway at the west end of the yard, Bronco is black and the SD is silver body with a black flatbed.

PYP in both anaheim and stanton didn't really have much but a couple of exploders had some nice seats in them. Speaking of which the Stanton PYP had a V8 exploder in it. Supposededly those have the GT-40 heads.

I was at Brown Field Truck & Van Dismantling. (619) 263-3898 in Otay Mesa (south San Diego) they had about 20 broncos out there with lots of good parts to take. 6 of them were Border patrol broncos with Rancho lifts. It was the most broncos ive seen in one yard before.

Any updates on what's available in or around the IE?

I'm looking for a transmission tunnel cover (transfer case cover) from an early 80's style Bronco / F150. I'm running an older linkage setup transferred from my 1983 to my 1993 and would like to find the factory tunnel cover with the transfer case shifter and boot. I'll make a cover plate for the new style linkage I tossed.

Also looking for a TFI remote mount heat sink and module from a pre-CCD vehicle.

Regarding Border Patrol Broncos... AJAX Auto out in Coachella used to have tons of them. John is an off-road racer and is pretty cool to guys that hint the parts are being used on a prerunner or race rig. I haven't been out there for a few years but it's closer to Riverside than Otay is. http://www.ajaxauto.com/

Aloha

One 78-79 with most of the front axle still there, the outer hubs, knuckles and shafts were missing...basically the housing and arms/springs were still there.
