My 6.5 hp 30 gal craftsman is down again and I am planning to buy a big 80 gal soon. I also plan to pour a small pad and put it outside of my building with a small lean to building for it and fire wood. Hopefully I can do this this summer when I add on to my shop.

Nice. Appreciate the visual Rock. Pretty much what I envisioned. I gotta do that.

Other than the drain issue, I've been real happy with my 60 gal. Husky from Home Depot. Think the ol' lady paid $470 or so for it. Probably not as quite as many but it pumps up fast and last for a good bit. I've got some old conveyor belt rubber cut into squares for the cement floor vibration, rather than the crates like most of you.

Josh... with that little portable unit, do you still hook up and use a line pressure regulator and moisture valve? I've also got a hose roller mounted on the wall that is an absolute MUST HAVE for someone as OCD as myself.

I would love one of those on mine but it's a 33 gal craftsman horizontal tank. It's a portable unit and sometimes (rarely) we'll pull it out and take it somewhere. Problem is it sits on top of a ledge. I'm concerned the drain pipe would hit the ledge when I pull it out and break something. The cheapo drain valve that's on there now had that happen. It has a slow leak now so It's practically self draining. For a relatively cheap oil free compressor it's been pretty good (I didn't buy it). Went about 10 years or so before the rubber seal was shot and needed a new piston/cylinder. For as much as I use it I think it's done well.
