I went and bought myself the Filly from FordFilly as some of you might know. I couldn't pass up as nice a Bronco as this one is. With as much that has already been done to it. She's clean, straight and damn near everything I would have done to it myself. You're not going to see any big changes to this one. Just some upgrades I feel it needs or minor changes to meet my tastes.

Motor details

Working already

The first couple of times I drove it I thought it need to be opened up a little in the exhaust area. I got to looking at what Judi had done to it and she spoke of adding headers. So I did that and added another muffler to make it true duals.

Flowtech ceramic coated

flowmaster 40 series to go with the one that was already there.

mani's out

I'll get one of what it sounds like finished.

This Bronco for 5500, I couldn't let it pass me by.

More Bronco porn! :popc1::popc1::popc1:

So when does the Bronco Museum open? :goodfinge
That's a good question Mark.

Nice. So now that you have thisone, have the boys started fighting over which of the other two will be theirs? Haha
They've already laid claim, trust me.

Awesome acquisition Rick, that is one sweet Bronco!
Thanks Dave!

:thumbup I wish I could have bought that bronco
I hear ya, I didn't want to kick myself for not buying it.

I'm jealous enough too kick you for buying it. :toothless

As I said though... glad to see it was able to stay "in the family" and go to someone who would appreciate and love it. :rockon

Thanks Gary, It is a very nice Bronco. Lots of upgrades I would have done myself (had someone else do). Yes, very lucky to get it for sure.

I worked on Filly again yesterday after my daughters softball game. Painted up the mc/booster, vaccum canister & factory supplied jack. Also painted the neck of the cleaner assembly, washed up the rest of the bay that won't get paint. I'm entering it in the show n' shine at the round up. I want to take home a trophy.

Before

I scuffed it up with a wire brush before I sprayed it with this.

Painted up

I've got a chrome cap & clamp on the way for the mc resevoir and need to figure out where Judi got that overflow tank for the radiator. It was brittle and cracked when I put my hand on the corner :banghead.

I picked these tires and wheels up today for $600. Going to swap the turbines on Yeller with the wagon wheels and put the Mickey's and turbines on this. Then turn around and sell the DC's and aluminum wheels.

My personalized plates came in the mail today.

Checked the tightness of the header bolts today. Found a loose one and the cause of the exhaust leak at the manifold.

:beer Stay tuned, more progress coming.

Yeah I thought so, near 100% left.

Love the license plate. :goodfinge
Thanks!

Looks great Rick, congrats!
Thanks Mark. Hope all is well in WA?

I've been making a few mods and minor changes to the Bronco. It being as nice as it is. There really isn't much to do. I'm planning on entering it in the show n shine at the Round Up so I've focused on making it look as good as possible. Like the valve covers. They needed a coat of paint.

Look brand new don't they?

I replaced the old crusty fastener's with a little bling.

I just need to find that elusive chrome MC cover. Anyone know where I can find one that acctually fits?

Out with the booster blocks. Need to install the carpet.

Only thing glued down was the wheel well carpets.

yep that's the original insullation you see.

It's in there, going to let the heat of today (96*) lay it down a little more flat before I put seats back in. Looks good and of high quality. Pissed at myself though. I got a little impatient and cut too far forward for the tcase shifter :banghead.

Moved on to cleaning up and repainting the turbines. Paint was chipped a little from the new rubber going on.

painted

I sprayed it with two coates of clear at the end this time. If it doesn't hold up, I'm going to get them blasted and powder coated.

That's it for now, stay tuned

Talk to a carpet installer. You can get some sticky tape that goes on the back side to hold the two back together like the cut never happened.

stick the glue/tape in place, run an iron over it... ta-da. Whole carpet! :thumbup

Assuming it's bad enough to need such a repair, it is an option. :beer

It is, I was thinking tape but wasn't sure the strength. I'll look into it, thanks Pepe'. :beer

Said cut

The carpets in and has molded pretty well. I still need to trim here and maybe push it a hair more forward. Damn good quality carpet.

Thanks to Mark thin blue line for helping me get rollbar out. Got it painted up.

I did a lttle barber poll to the d shaft

Worth 50hp?

Well the carpet is all cut out. In all the right places to get the seats and belts in. I had to trim the rear interior panels a bit. The carpet is a bit plush. I had two helpers out there with me today.

roll bar is back in

I'm not going to be able to get the new seat upholstery on before the round up. So this will do.
The heater controls were missing a little chrome so I got that on tonight.

If you guy's go back to page one I added some more photos of how the exhaust pipes are routed.

Next I'm going to swap out tires and wheels and do a little weather stripping. The old is warn out and leaking. Can't have that with the new carpet. Stay tuned.
