33's will fit stock height and look small with 4 inches of lift. Either no lift or 2 inch with 33's or, as others have said, 35's and 4 inches of lift. Here's 33's and no lift.

The 79 I had a few years ago had 33s stock but it always looked so tucked to me.

Yeah, its a matter of personal preference. I like the lower look with tires filling the openings. But 2 inches would probably be perfect for 33's.

I'm ordering my 4" lift kit tomorrow but will be rocking the 33"s until those wear out. It'll look funny for a bit but oh well.

Haven't gotten much done on her lately. Been sick and been working a lot. Only progress that's been made has been trying to decide on what wheels I want for it. Pretty much decided on these

Issue is finding them for under 1000 bucks

yep... those old turbines are awesome but getting really hard to find, especially in a 10" wide.

I had these on my original 79. I plan to try and go back with them on the current one.

I'd be fine with 7-8 wides. I don't care about wide wheels

I had similar on my first 79. They were the American racing ones which had more spokes

I see these come up from time to time on Craigslist. There was a set a couple of months ago in Little Rock, but I think they are gone now. Here is a link in case they are still available.

Here is another set in Corpus Christi area but it is the ones with the closer spaced fins. May be worth grabbing for the $100 he is asking?? I assume you will have to arrange some shipping. I have a set similar to the ones you showed, but I do not think I want to part with them.

kanuck15 -

Do you mind sharing the brand/model of the wheel you posted a picture of?

I have a Ranger XLT as well and am looking for wheel options. I am slightly overwhelmed with all the options, but most are not of interest for me. The one you posted I like. :)

The guy from Detroit vintage wheels is a tool bag. I'd rather run 24 inch wheels with dildos for spokes than buy anything from him

Spent the day doing rust repair on my DD. A 2000 super duty 5.4 5 speed with 4.10s.

Before (older pic)

After

Still need to find doors and do the passenger side cab corner. I'd have done it today but I can't get the rear door open without destroying the rusted up latch. So I need at least my passenger rear door before I can go any farther

Nothing new to report. Bronco graveyard has all my brake parts on back order so I am just waiting. It's just as well as I do side work as a diesel tech and that's been rather busy. Couple 6.0 power strokes and a duramax have kept me busy

Finally some bronco related news!

I talked my way into winter storage for the old girl. Best part is its at the welding/fab shop I work at. So not only does it get to live in a 65 degree controlled building but I can wheel it out and work on it after work. Plus the owner has a full on dirt late model race shop there with every tool you'd need. Yesterday I found a tire changer in the back. Also there is a jeep shop there too with pipe benders and notchers. So watch for new bumpers.

Results of the new found tire changer

Just half bald 33x12.50s I got for cheap. They hold air and give me an idea about tire size
