More the weather, we got a few nice days. Tomarrow we are back to snow and rain my friends. Would like to get more done but it is starting to look like rain already. I pulled the rest of the interior and top off today, gotta get some welding gas, wire tips and some other crap.

Mine had the same deal, right behind the drivers seat a rust hole. I believe it was coming from the leaving seam in the roof drip rail. I have not found any rust between the top and cab. The drip rail had the seam sealer that peeled up and the water ran down the pillar, rusted the pillar out and I believe that was the source of the floor rust. The guy I got the truck from crunched the door by backing up into something while the door was open and I thought the rust damage was from the door leaking but he had the truck for only six months so I guess that was not the source. The rest of the floor is spotless, no rust anywhere, if my top was leaking I would think the other side would be rotted too but no leaks.

Finished stripping out the interior and gotta dig out three bolts, two rear ones for the top the PO broke off and I snapped one off for the rear seat pivot bracket. Not too bad though considering all the body bolts came out but those three. If the weather clears up I am going to work on the floor repairs, need to patch a spot behind the seat still and the gorilla that had the truck before me ripped out some of the seat mount bolts in the floor. The seat backs were broken and the seat mounts were snapped off so the seats were screwed to 2/4 blocks with drywall screws LOL. Looked like an elephant was living in there, every part of the interior was smashed, crushed and broken. The steering column tilt pin was sheared and the wheel was bent from the dude dragging his fat ass up in there. As you can see from the pics there were grab handles on the exterior that were torn off also. I had to gather up all new interior parts , still need all new seat belts I may just go three point to the cage and be done with it.

More nasty shit to fix, right side support needs help.
Now that I think about it I'll cut it open and fab up a new piece for the rear channel, it is more than likely all soft.

The rest looks OK but who knows what's hiding inside, either way looks like a bitch to fix once again.

Keep it up man. I am going through the same thing with one of my rigs. Everything was trashed. The only thing that didn't need replacing was the cab, running gear, hood, glass and frame. Interior was toast or gone, floors were toast, cigarette butts everywhere, bed and fenders were cut and trashed, grille was trashed, PS and radiator were trash, wiring was trash, etc. Doing it on a super tight budget too.

You'll get er done

Do NOT tread on me.

Yeah it's a ball buster though but I wanted to start with a stripped truck anyhow because a stock drivetrain would never hold up to my engine. I got it cheap thank goodness.

A pain in the ass indeed. Starting fresh is often better than having to undo all the crap from the PO. About all I can say that was good about mine is that it runs good and was cheap. Also, I think you will have a kickass setup with the T-19 and a hot FE.

Do NOT tread on me.

Well if I put it in a Jeep it would have twisted like a pretzel, so I needed a truck. I always wanted a Bronco but was looking for a 78, this one popped up for 800 so I couldn't pass it up.

Found these guys for my body liner, going to cover the interior and underneath with tinted liner to match my paint. They loan you the guns to apply it and the guy I talked to ( Randy) was very helpful. First I am going to do my repairs, then a self etching primer, then I spray a grey base coat of liner, then the tinted clear goes over. Total thickness is about 1/8 inch or 100 ml. I am getting 300 square foot of coating and 1 gallon of Eastwood seam sealer. Here is their site for the bed liner.Colored Bedliner

Eat Dodge Hemis, Mustangs and Camaros LOL. Actually I am intending it for hill climbing, mud, snow and playing in the sand box. I'll be churning 35/13.50s with 4.10s and steel wheels so there will be some weight to turn.
