If you're so inclined, that's fine. I'm not trying to make it a fundraiser, though, especially since jowens is doing all the heavy lifting. If you want to help with the printing and scanning costs, the address is scout1344 at gmail dot com. That'd be right generous of you.

Well... you guys who are making this happen can divvy up costs amongst yourselves.
I just figure, you guys are doing all this work to benefit the community here and being a pretty active and needy community member myself, I'm always happy to help out when I can. I have a little left over from another PP transaction. Can't hurt to put it towards a good cause.

I realize the costs involved aren't whoppers here... but showing appreciation and helping out is always a good thing. Keep up the good work guys. It's greatly appreciated!

I have one printed but haven't compared to original yet. Other Bronco stuff is now piled in front of my panels. I'll dig them back out tomorrow. (Today is my birthday so my wife has the day mapped out and I can guarantee it doesn't include Bronco time. )

There's a true demand for these panels --- unfortunate that the thread has gone dry.

If this helps ?? My son and I cut diamond plate panels early this year, and I'm happy to measure them. You wont get the same detailed curves and specific measurements that Speedy did on post #51 page 3 of this thread. I'd guess mine will only be useful for makers of diamond plate panels where dimensions being a little off won't matter.

A standard-size sheet of diamond plate is 4ft x 8ft and costs between $80-120. A single sheet is enough for both rear trunk panels and extra for other projects.

Still in diamond-plate chrome :

Sprayed gray and added tie-downs that anchor to the Bronco metal frame behind :

SOLD : 1979 Bronco, 460ci swap, 6" lift with 38s, rebuilt Dana 60 front with ARB locker, Chevy 14-bolt rear with ARB locker and disc brakes, TripleSix custom Bumpers, 12k Winch, + MUCH more..

I think there are a lot of people hoping this gets revived. Has anyone else done their own work?

I'm really needing some templates as well. I have a buddy with the original panels still in his '79 (Josh C..you reading this??). If no one else can get them on here I'll do my best to get his taken out, traced and scanned.

I even sent 'em a couple bucks to help show interest and keep it moving but it obviously faded away.
Would still love to see something I could tape down on wood, plastic or metal and cut/trim to match the stock molding.

I agree, I would throw some cash into the mix for the effort. Does anyone know what happened to either of them?

My 79 xlt bronco still has its original panels in. Large format scanning last time i scanned an original iwo jima battle map 3x3 foot was $70! Kinkos. I will be getting to those soon as a few fastners have broke on it and I want to replace the floor carpet. Not sure wjat i could help with as i dont think im going to scan it. Seems like measurements on a cad program would worwork.
