Question Mysterious connector C212...

So I've been searching for a +12v source to use while the key is in both run AND start positions. This will be needed eventually when I install an EFI system. I've found it, but I have no idea what the wire was originally for. Now I'm curious.

From my electrical manual, this appears to be connector C212 but I can't be sure because the whitish wire appears not to have a black stripe and the bluish wire is not mentioned anywhere I can find.

The PO of the bronco tapped into the bluish wire for the electric choke, and I verified that the wire has power both in RUN & START key positions while cranking.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot for the input!

Couple questions...

Where were you able to find this information? I'd like to know where to look next time...

What exactly is "circuit 932 ing. switch to throttle solenoid"? What's 932? Did you mean "ignition"? What exactly was/is a throttle solenoid on these vehicles? I'm running an aftermarket carb so it must not apply to me...

Is the emission solenoid different than the throttle solenoid?

If you had a diagram for me it would be super helpful.

I have Ford wiring diagrams for 1978 and 1979 bronco and 1978 trucks.
The wire are numbered in Ford wiring diagrams, in the wire chart you have the circuit number, the description and the color of the wire
ex: wire 54
circuit, description, color,
54, fuse panel to courtesy lamp switch, green-yellow stripe,

Look at the first post,
79 wiring schematics

Its very easy to find a wire or a problem. The chart have circuit from 1 to 998.
Ignition is a wire with live 12v on the ign position on the ignition switch.

I dont have a scaner but i can probably make some photocopy at work but not on the same sheet size.Ford wiring sheet are 12.5''x25''.

Holy moly that's awesome.

This must be different than the factory service manual then?

Do you ever see any of those wiring diagrams come up in Ebay or anything anymore?

Both were bought on ebay,
I misread the 1979 listing, i just received the bronco section instead of the full book and paid 29$ for just 9 pages.
The 1978 book was 25$, almost a steal.
This is the factory wiring diagrams ford dealers used.

That wiring book in the 2nd link you listed seems like a steal!

Might have to try and get that...

If you plan to keep the bronco it's well worth it.

In the description it says the bronco section is torn. Would like to know how bad before buying it. That's mainly what I would want

I actually saw that and had the same question; I emailed the seller last night asking for pictures of the torn sections so I know how bad/what's missing. If he gets back to me I will share.
