Steering box shaft support?
I spent all last year getting airborne and bombing through the whoops at the dunes in my 5k lb pig. I believe the splined output shaft on my steering box has taken quite the abuse because of this. I'm not sure if there is a bearing or bushing or what supports it in the case, but the shaft moves a good 1/8 - 1/4" when the wheel is turned one way and then another. Almost like whatever is supporting it is just wallowed (is that even a word?) out or loose. Do I just have a defective box or should I be looking into some sort of external shaft support for this thing? The box is only 2 years old.
