Wheels & Tires

I had a post a while back on Tire recommendations, thanks for the advice. Pretty sure i'm going with BFG's MT.

Now thinking about updating wheels at same time.

Anyone bought things from Desert Rat? Anyone their Desert Rattler wheels?

Prices seem good for packages. Going to call and get a quote, but wanted to know your experience. Thanks!

Desert Rat normally has pretty competitive prices on their products. Those wheels look like knock offs of the Mickey Thompson wheels. I personally don't care for them on the old stuff. Look for some turbines or slots in your area.

I've been into a Desert Rat a few times. They're local. Solid dudes working there.. I've seen some built rigs going in and out. The guys I've talked to know their shit, too, and aren't just counter-jockeys.

Your rig looks super with white wheels, stay with 15" wheels as well. You will hate the harsh ride of 16"-17" wheels/ tires. The load range and higher PSI will rattle you and that old rig pretty good. Also, backspace on those wheels usually cause the tires to rub. Those wheels most likely use stick on weights, which typically fall off. I would look at the U.S. Mags http://images.us-mags.com/images/whe...d_A2-10001.png
