Broncograveyard 4 point family roll cage

Has anyone bought this family roll cage from broncograveyard?
4pt. Family Roll Bar, Cage-Broncograveyard.com

I only drive my bronco during the warmer months and I only run a full soft top. Now that I have two young boys I am looking to add a rear roll cage for extra protection/ peace of mind when the boys are back there. I won't be off roading my bronco with them in the back. More so mall crawler roll protection.

My main question is what to expect for shipping. I see they have a pallet fee. I am looking for some feed back on someones order experience. Or recommendations of a shop in metro Detroit that can build a cage like this at a cheaper or comparable price.

I have it, ordered from JBG. Shipping was about $200 from what I remember. They should be able to give you a quote for shipping if you call them.

It's good quality. Just make sure they also weld in support plates and not weld it directly to the bed. The supports will slice through the bed easily in case of roll-over. Also have the shop spray liner it before install. Much easier than trying to seal it post installation.

92 EB Full-Size, 351W. Autolocking hubs for 4WD. Softtop Conversion. 4pt Rollcage. Custom painted interior.

what do you mean about the support plates? Did you have it shipped to your home? How smooth was that delivery process?

I have the same cage and I also run a soft top full time. I don't remember what the shipping cost was, but JBG will provide a shipping quote. It is truck shipped. I picked mine up at the old dominion freight terminal. The guys there just put it in the back of my Bronco with the top down and I drove right off like that. I do not remember if it was cheaper than having shipped to the house or just easier since I did not have to worry about being home.

You can (or at least used to be able to) order the same cage direct from the manufacturer, Proto Fab. They are in Arizona. Proto Fab Specialty Parts For Bronco and Jeep

I had mine delivered to work with loading dock. Was only $75
Just a warning you may wait to get it threw JBG, just the way they work. Protofab is also slow to deliver sometimes too.

I believe the jbg cages are made in Arizona and are like 4 weeks lead time.

Shipping to the terminal or a business with forklift or dock is always cheaper than curbside delivery.

The plates referenced above sandwich the bed floor inbetween the cage mount and the "plates" under the bed. In theory and for max safety, the bottom plate should be braced and welded to the frame. The cage feet should then be bolted to these braced plates. Think of them like rigid body mounts.

6000 pounds of Bronco pounding on 4 squares of 12 sq. in. each will push through the very thin body and proceed to squish anything in the back in a rollover.

I ordered mine direct from Protofab. Shipping to a residence is not cheap... I also had seatbelt bungs welded in so that I could use the shoulder belts. So something to consider if you have a 92-96.

I had no issues working with Protofab but be sure you clarify you want the Family Cage. They sent me the wrong one but covered shipping round trip and fixed the issue. I love mine. Keep your eyes on the May FOTM for pics and some neat things I did to mine!

I have it on my old totaled bronco, still need to get around to swapping it over. But mines I had added provisions to put the stock seatbelt to it and coated it in Linex.
BigBlue 94 and makersneat like this.

You can ordered it welded but it has to ship truck freight.
