If so, thing is a work of art. He also made a custom flange for my larger mass air meter. I did move mine forward a bit to clear the Accusump but it is a direct bolt-on for the factory airbox mount. http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/438810/fullsize/dscn1382.jpg yikesbb 07-15-2007, 10:15 PM Can't beat UMP. They do a nice job on steering boxes too. GKR, yours is one of the finest rigs on this site. Would love to see it in the magazine man. I used a Canton remote mount and block adapter, braided lines and such. As far as the function, if the Accusump sensor detects less than 15 lbs of pressure,(like you rolled it up on its side or some such nonsense) it will begin to open a valve and feed oil in from the pressurized unit. When the engine returns to normal pressure, it automatically refills and builds pressure. This one holds 1.5 quarts. I have a 2 quart unit but couldn't find anywhere to put it. I also use it as a pre-oiler. When you turn off the engine, it holds about 35-40 psi. When I get ready to start it, I turn the key on, flip a switch and put about 35 lbs of oil pressure in the system before it even turns over. |
