View Full Version : fan shroud big_ol_bronco78 08-06-2007, 07:33 PM hey, got this in the wanted section too, looking for a fan shroud for my 78 bronco with the 351M. thanks hellbndr23 08-08-2007, 10:33 AM I got mine on Ebay from this guy http://myworld.ebay.com/simlaautoandtruck He has 20 something broncos in Colorado. SLOW shipping but he only charged me $90. Chevy_Stomper 08-08-2007, 10:46 AM If I decide to go with a 460 in mine I'll let mine go they are the same for the 351/400m I believe and I've had both with the same shroud. It was cracked but I fixed it with some duraglass, can't even tell and is probably stronger now than it was before sampsin 08-08-2007, 11:53 PM $90 seems a little steep for a used shroud hellbndr23 08-09-2007, 10:16 AM They were around 200 in the books and i was already ordering other parts from this guy, so i combined shipping. big_ol_bronco78 08-09-2007, 01:45 PM yeah, i'll jsut take mine off before i'll pay 90 bucks for one, or just make a metal one. thanks though for the offer, and chevy stomper shoot me a pm if you get it off, thanks gregclauss 08-10-2007, 06:35 PM why not just go to broncograve yard and get a new one for $98 delivered bronco ox 08-10-2007, 07:23 PM I got a shroud from the auto wrecker off a ford pu with a 460. It was the same size and in perfect shape and it only cost me $25 !!!:shocked big_ol_bronco78 08-10-2007, 11:15 PM i'll check with junk yard then, other things i could spend almost 100 bucks on rather than a fan shroud, i want one but not at that price. big_ol_bronco78 08-14-2007, 04:17 PM still looking, anyone have one. thanks big_ol_bronco78 08-20-2007, 04:29 PM still looking, anyone have one, thanks InfoFord 08-20-2007, 06:30 PM I have a few 75 plus ride BRONKSTER 08-20-2007, 08:15 PM http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-20621_xtra_cooling_super_shroud.htm I think this was allready suggested once. InfoFord 08-20-2007, 09:13 PM it was but he said he didn'y want to pay that close to 100 bucks  big_ol_bronco78 08-21-2007, 04:03 PM yeah, i would like to find one cheap, if i have to i'll buy a new one, but was hoping to find one cheap that someone had lying around. thanks though guys mostly_broncos 08-23-2007, 02:20 PM The 87 and up fuel injected style shrouds are easy to adapt and are made from a much nicer material than the older kind. Get 1 for 5 bucks in a junkyard and screw a piece of angle to the top and bottom edge and bolt it to the flange on your radiator. Easy to account for a body lift that way too. If you do it while the radiator is in you can move it up and down to wherever you want. big_ol_bronco78 08-23-2007, 04:01 PM awsome, thanks, i may just do that. |
