I'm home now. I was just dehydrated. I've gone from 8 years of being VERY heavily restricted on my fluid intake to being forced to drink 64 ozs a day. So even though to me, when I'm chugging a bottle of water and it "feels" like alot. I need to be more conscience of exactly how much I'm drinking.

My pulse would jump up to 155 when I would stand up. The doc said that was from low volume and my heart has to kick into overdrive to compensate.

But anyhow, I'm home. I feel some better. Better than I was, by my chest still hurts. I'm good though. :D

Hey Mels.

Haven't been on the site in a while but I have been hearing about your progress through 79F150. I am glad everything is going so well. Did they tell you how long you would have to wait to know that the kidney won't reject or has that time already come. Keep up the fight. BTW awesome scar. I have a pretty good one but I got two little angels from mine. But you know you got an angel too!!!!

NOBS!

There will never be a time when it won't reject. Always that possibility, but the longer I have it, the more they'll lower the doses on my meds and my body will become more accustomed to it. Sometimes shit happens and it rejects 2 years oout, sometimes people have them for 20 years. So just depends on your body, your doctor and your meds.

And I got two more liters of IV Fluid today after my doctor visit. Its a good problem though. Means I got a big block kidney and its kicking some fluid ass. Everything I drink goes right through me, so I'm pissing like a race horse. :toothless

What? You don't like my pissin race horse comment? Hell, the PA said it first. She was like "So are ya just pissin like a race horse?" I was like, yup. Then she made the same comment to the surgeon when she called to let him know what was going on.

I pee every 15-20 minutes. I shit you not. I'm peein THAT much. So they're like 'hey drink more'...drink more, pee more...drink more, pee more...drink more, pee even more. Today when I got those 2 liters of IV fluid, I got up every 15 minutes. I asked my doc when I was in the ER, what good it done if I was just peeing it right back out and he assured me, some was staying in my system, especially by IV cause that goes right into my vascular system.

Anyhow, that concludes our message today from "Talking Piss With Mel."
