Don't know if is its OK to post this, but my used rear pre-runner setup is available. Its a very solid reliable setup and my cost was huge. Way more than is suggested in:

I just put together the fact that you're Chris Wilson's Dad. Welcome to the site! I've always liked yours and Chris' Broncos. Simple, reliable workhorses.

You and Chris should start threads with some pics and info on your trucks, it would be great content for this section of the board. I would love to see pics of how you're extending your Bronco.

I have been here for quite a while with few posts. So little time I am buried with the 72EB upgrades and Chris is heading to the next race, and is swamped at work. We are getting some pics. Briefly, Cut in front of the wheel well for the frame and bedside. Floor behind the rear seat. Top where convient. Then add custom laminated glass from the hot rod guy. 4-link is standard setup like Chris' super pickup he just sold. shocks on the arms, vertical & enclosed behind the seat. All done in house by Glen. Stock "B" so the back seat riders can see out just like stock. 1 coilover & 1 bypass on each side. The TTB now has the required plating on the arms to fix all the cracks and the detailed stock center joint to give me another 1"+. Staying with 33s to aviod the major issues on the 96. It has to much stuff to relocate & the AC would be comprimised. Not so on the earlier models. Keeping the E4OD for good mileage. I bought the Vejas rear end as they just converted from CODE full stock to SCORE C8. Tubeworks 40s narrowed to fit in my widened fenders.
I wll give Glen 72 to him for a 4 link this winter. Then start driving the 96. I suspect the 96 will last longer than before. I was shocked how much carnage I did with my very mild driving. Baja washboards kill trucks. I use the 96 for Baja desert runs every week form mid Oct thru April. Most damage probably came from the B1k preruns. Especially last year. The repairs have been limited to the stock parts. The Spirit upgrades have no issues front or rear.

PW, I saw your white Bronco at Complete Fabrications before the 500. Man that is going to be one nice rig. I liked the sleeper look you were going for but sounds like you are going for a more hard core prerunner set up.

Thanks. The belcrank coil setup for the rear did not work out with the E4OD due to length. This caused delay and expense due to the stretch. It will have a mild cage. No windshield bars. Should be good for mild running. I will be thankful to get coils in the rear.

Paul it sounds like you got wider fenders for the truck. Did you also have the front end widened?

The front remains as it was. Spirit moved the BJ out about 2" to get the correct C/C with the taller spring towers. Stock fenders have adequate clearance with my 33s, 35s are another story. The front is now glass because the heavy metal was destroyed by the Baja roads. Glass is a significant weight reduction and is pretty much a requirement. I have the closest thing to stock fenders plus the heavy glass hood which allows hinges and struts but keeps the front pins. Hinges mount to the front cage lateral tube - not the firewall. Still much lighter that steel.
My issues were typical of F150/Bronco here is what happens up front:
The fender supports from the firewall were cracked which allowed the fender to jam against the door which could not be opened unless I parked on a certian side slope. The hinges for the hood were actually ripped from the firewall. (It took me 2 hours to get hthe hood off). The fender inner metal was full of spider cracks. The TTB arms had many cracks which required plating and boxing and the center joint was clearanced for margin and another ~inch of travel. We added Heims at the pivots which were in bad shape, and replaced the bearings, BJs, & brake pads. Baja is tough, and remember I am not a racer just a tourist. However lots of Baja miles.

BTW, there are 3 broncos & a full stock I am familair with that have had all these same issues but the other guys are racers so theirs happened sooner than mine, with a lot less miles.

I bet your "tourist" miles are a harder than a lot of race miles.:thumbup
