One the best products ive used! http://www.dirt-tech.com/axle_housings.html Blueblood 09-06-2007, 10:55 PM DT axles are sweet i would love one but the $$$$. what hubs, brakes, axles are you using? what was the total cost for everything if you dont mind me asking? gunit 09-07-2007, 03:00 AM Sandy Cone rear ends are as good as they come, go see him. A friend has two hardcore prerunners each with a Cone Full Floater 40 spline 9". They both have thousands of Baja miles at race speeds with no failures. mkiefer 09-07-2007, 12:37 PM Sandy cone rearends are very nice, but looking back I think he is talking about a local shop. jmorriss 09-07-2007, 01:16 PM Thats sexy and all but why spend that much money on a 1/2 ton axle? Other then the 3rd member what advantages does it have over a sterling which is full float? PBR 09-07-2007, 02:28 PM sandy makes very good products. BajaBronco13 09-07-2007, 04:12 PM Is anyone running Currie's Full Floater prerunner 9" rear end? If so, let us know what you think? Pics and details on the axle will be much appreciated. CP Blueblood 09-07-2007, 10:09 PM Templeton is about 30-45 mins north of me so its pretty much a "local" shop moss2 09-09-2007, 11:30 PM Cone stuff is great. If the drive plates are old, like 80s vintage they dont have a radius cut in them and we broke one of those. It had lots of race abuse on it though. The new ones are supposed to be 800hp proof. Some of the old hubs are recommended for 35" max tire size but that is about all most Broncos will get. Digipax 11-04-2007, 06:19 PM I've used Cones rearends and hubs for 15+ years. Sandy is always moving the industry forward on his own, by that I mean he doesn't build the same stuff he did years ago (like some do) he is constantly in touch with the racers using his stuff and thus it's always an improving product. By the way his parts can be found under some very fast Bonneville cars as well, but he has always been an offroad racer. He also is an 2 time Baja 1000 winner |
