Did you buy it with the autofab suspension?

when i bought it, it had all the suspension as it still is and it was caged too. i have fixed lots of things and replaced lots of things but i bought it with a very good base.
steveG 09-08-2007, 12:16 PM I have to say Ollie, I've always loved the triple shock set-up. Originally I was going to use a coil-over and bought the shocks, but decided on a coil-bucket for simplicity. As you can see, my truck is pretty old-school... I wish I had gone full old-school and built it with 2.0" shocks for a more vintage look.
Here are some pics of a well-used Bronco I've always liked

carlos_83 09-08-2007, 11:20 PM that's the old BFG bronc, right? BFG assembled it with the besta available in the early 90's...you can tell the shock technology from the 90's (four per wheel??)..now don't get me wrong..this was the best around back then ...anyway, they retired it, like four years ago, and replaced it with a super-duty..
Oh, and notice a 92+ bronc witha ford 9" (where's the VSS??)
i saw it a couple of times, and i always drooled to it..
steveG 09-09-2007, 12:23 AM Yes it's the BFG Bronco. I wonder where it is now.
It looks like the sensor is on the top of the carrier.
carlos_83 09-09-2007, 05:27 PM i just noted. on PBR's second pic (white bronc seen from side) it has 80-86 no bulge fiberglass fenders (??) you can tell a bigger wheel opening...but keeps the trucks line.....anyone knows more on these???

I'm pretty sure those are Autofab fenders.

nice!
i will look for those...
BajaBronco13 09-09-2007, 06:23 PM Hey Carlos,
I just order this set from Autofab. They are a little different from PBR's because they don't carry that original body line on the wheel well.
Check them out.

BFG bronco can still be found lurking around where there is offroad racing and a BFG pit gathering. I have seen it several times in the past year.

ah i see......they have the same 80-86 lines but have a round wheel well...I have seen those in Ensenada for sale..
I ask because i would like to go fiberglass, but would like to keep the 80-86 front end type...(Old school rules brother)

BFG is ain important sponsor of the tecate score baja 250, 500 and 1000's. They setup BFG pits along the course, where they will swap your BFG tires (special rules apply). The idea behind this bronco is that BFG needed a vehicle to pre-run and decide where those pits would be. So it had to be desert durable, street legal (menas not full race), etc,
BajaBronco13 09-10-2007, 02:42 AM Carlos,
I'm going for the same look with my Class 3 Bronco build. It's an 86 Bronco and I'm keeping the old school grille. Too bad they don't make rear glass that matches my front glass.

That's good to hear. I hate to see company-built trucks get crushed for legal reasons (or any reason really...).

call me silly; my bronco has been with my family since '86...it has been trough many hands within my family. It is nothing out of this world, but has sentimental value. (however, it does not have a name)
I really like the fiberglass look, and i am planning to swap the front fenders and the hood...however, rear fiberglass (were you cut your inner sheetmetal), there is no turning back.. specially for a daily driver (yes, even with my horrible mileage, i still drive it every day) parking lot dents, job parking lot dork slamming his door on my truck, etc..
I know that if you buy good quality stuff like autofab, you shouldn't worry about cracks (as long as you have a good metal support structure underneath)
Can anyone input on fiberglass use on daily drivers??
i can get a beater and go all fiberglass;
remove 4x4, get some 70's econoline kingpin beams, good shox.........
