How much flex (if any) do you get before they start to crack? I'm looking at the Autofab as of now. Thanks

How are we measuring flex?

My buddy has fiberglass front fenders on his 4-Runner. A co-worker took his truck home one night and a disgruntled neighbour bashed it with his car door; put a 3" long crack in the fiberglass. The only thing we don't know is just how hard he bashed the door into the fender.

yea, itll crack, but steel dents, and i find glass easier to fix then a dent

I realize there isn't a precise way to measure it, but if one were to push fairly hard, would it give some without cracking?

I really depends on the quality of the parts. I've had Autofab fiberglass fenders and bedsides on my ride for 4 years now and I've had the chassis twisted up pretty good. Lots of flying over Baja two tracks with no cracks yet.

You can take a finberglass fender, have someone hold each end and twist the hell out of it without hurting it. I've had a bunch of fiberglass for an Explorer for about 4 years. First rolling around in my garage, falling off the top of the Explorer that was on 3 foot jack stands, in 2 moves, now rolling around my brothers Garage and being pushed around and stacked on and except for some surface scratches they look as good as they did when they were new. I don't think I could say the same about steel.
