Just wondering what you guys think. I can pick up a set for stupid cheap and was thinking about buying them. I'll be swapping to a 14" Coilover and possibly a 16" Bypass in the front and run either a link setup with a 16" CO and 18" Bypass or just run a 16/18 inch Bypass in the rear if I run a Deaver leaf setup.

I'll be keepin a 9" in the rear but using a Desert Specialties full floater with 40 spline setup and swappin in a Dynatrac Dana 60 in the front for use with radius arms.

Hey Fate,

I'm actually running 37" BFG Projects and I've been told they'll be fine but I'm still wondering if they are too tall. Especially with Bronco's short wheel base. That's my two cents.

I'd have to agree ................. with 40's at speed, that'll be sketchy off camber in corners

Well I'm figuring on pushing the front about 2-3 inches and the rear about a foot. I'm basically shooting for the same wheelbase as an extended cab F150.

Well for $165 I couldn't pass up on the 40s. They got 50% left and shipping was dirt cheap(thanks to workin for FedEx).

I'm in the process now of looking at rear link setups and seeing how I want to set this up.

it ain't your length that matters .. it's the width, but whatever .. for that price it's worth a shot...just make sure your cage is up to snuff ;)

Well the front axle is 70" WMS to WMS. Which I know isn't alot, especially for a desert rig, but I'm thinking if I get 17x9 rims with a 2" BS, the extra push from the wheels should help alot. The rear axle can be really whatever width I want it to be.

How hard would it be to convert to beams? I don't really want to go that way, but if I had to make use of the 40s I would.

Well right now its looks like a 64" Leaf Kit from Giant Motorsports, some 18" Travel FOA Shocks, and a Desert Specialties Full Floater with 40 spline axles, Spool, and 12" Brakes. Haven't decided on gears

40s will be nice. my bronco handles great at speed, i like how they just mow over anything in their path vs. a small tire that gets affected more by bumps, potholes, small children etc...

Well the truck isn't just a go fast truck. I'm gona do a little trail riding with it. I'm also gona drive it to and from work(about 25 miles a day).

With the Dynatrac 60 up front, I'm thinking I could maybe gusset it a little to help with strength(although I figure if its under warranty and it breaks then they can fix it). I'm basically thinking a 5.38 gear, a high clearence chunk in the front, with a detroit and it'll already have high-steer with hydro-assist and 35 spline inners and outers.

The rear it looks like is going to come from Schreiner Enterprises. Under $3000 for a 40spline floater is just too good to pass up.

Now the only thing I have to figure out, is how to mount a CO and Bypass up front with CAGE Arms.

why not just sell the 40's youd make some profit, and replacement tires will be alot cheaper.

also why not go with a trussed d60 front? if your gonna spent the money on built axles i dont think trussing it will kill you.

I just stated that I would be swapping in a Dynatrac 60 and would most likely gusset it.

The reason behind the Dynatrac 60 you ask? Deadenbear knuckles and inner c's, 35spline stuff stock, high clearance center chunk, and a nice warranty.

I'd thought about that but, I can't seem to find 37s for cheap that would be good for street, trail, and sand. I've found a set of 37" Projects, but I'm afraid those would suck on the trail. The only thing that would work would be either a MT of some sort or the MTRs
