It's a Icom 2200H, which is a 2m radio. They're asking $125 and you can get a brand new one for $159, so it's not a good deal. Besides, you don't know how abused it is. Technically, this radio requires a FCC license (HAM/Amateur Radio) to transmit within the US.

Here's a review: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/4192

Here's where I got the $159 price: http://www.hamradio.com - and enter 2200h in the model search, you'll see what I mean.

Stick with a roadmaster, those things are indestructible. I've had mine for... about 6 years now but it was bought by my father used back in 87. It has been in 2 race cars who knows how many races including at least 2 Nevada 500s and 3 Mint 400s.

Im planning to run the icom ic8000 or whatever the model number is. I just need to get people in my group to run them. they are all pro cb cause its cheap. I hate cbs with a passion!

hamradio outlet is here local to Arizona. Its a pretty small store but they do alot of mail order. I plan to buy my icom from them.

I've bought at least a half dozen radios from Ham Radio Outlet, they're definitely a great place for that kind of stuff. We don't have one local here in Charlotte, but I visited the one in Atlanta when I was in town one day. It's a small store, but they had at least six guys behind the counter, and every last one of them was on the phone with a call in customer. After waiting a long time to talk to one of them I called the store on my cell, one of the guys behind the counter answered the phone, and I went over and talked to him. Sounds weird, but that was just about the only way to get someones attention. They've been crazy busy like that every time I've been there.

Nice find. I'm thinking of picking up a radio before the 1000 but I'm not sure that I want to drop $400.00 at PCI right now.
