He came through the little town that I work in on his way to Sturgis this year. Stopped at the little biker pit stop we had at the local truck stop. He hung out for about an hour. (sans cameras) Seemed like a pretty cool guy.

The way he portrays himself on programs like Monster Garage makes him seem very Choad like.

The way the corporate mucky-mucks required him to portray himself on programs like Monster Garage makes him seem very Choad like.

Maybe it's more like that. Which is why there is no more Monster Garage and the Tuttles are still hot shit on tv.

The man is a choad.

He races at the local track by us (Irwindale speedway) he runs the outlaw figure 8, he is one crazy driver, but seems to be a really nice I guy...a few years back they had brought in a load of Katrina victims and the race track gave them all free tickets...Jessie and Sandra came out from the pits took all the victims and their familys and bought them all dinner from the snack bar. I personally think he is a weeinee but my wife is in love with him.

Chevy or not, if someone gave me that truck, i'd have no complaints - looks like a sick ride and seems to soak it well. :rockon

I'm not sure if that last jump was edited in for excitment or if Jesse is just a lead foot and jumping a truck is a new experience for him. Either way, it's fun to see trucks in action like this - even it he almost lawn darted!

I wonder if we could start a video section of great desert action, near crashes/saves, crashes, etc?

Have a spiffy weekend. :chili:

all this chevy bashing is so funny to me... i love my broncos and i used to have a ranger that i loved but you couldn't pay me drive a superduty with a diesel. my duramax is twice the motor compared to the 6.0 powerstroke and the allison will run circles around the ford tranny. and don't get me started on the big chevy i have in my garage, if i gave any one of you a ride you would have nothing but nice thing to say about chevy's!!! this whole i bleed blue no matter what is funny, i buy the best no matter what the brand. brand loyalty is silly and end up with and inferior product just because it's your brand.

sorry for the rant.

I was down in Long Beach just cruising my mountain bike and I've seen this truck up close. That truck is just one piece of art no matter if it's a Chevy. It looks like a lot of hours were put into it. It has West Coast Chopper logo'd hubs and the he was rocking a Virgin of Guadalupa figurine on his dash. He must be catholic, lol.

I think that PR is nice...but might share love/hate of JJ TT.. lots of people here in baja dislike JJ's TT (looks modeled after a GI Joe toy?)...a smaller number like it..

i have seen it close, cosmetics aside, it has top notch parts and work!..it speaks seriousness..
i think it is partially disliked because it does not look as your typical TT...
(yeah, i don't like the "spiderman web" wheels myself)

and to be fair with the guy, he is not the worst driving rookie (by rookie i mean someone that started driving/campaigning a TT recently), so he might still have to finish ironing the bugs out of his truck... so give him some time..

BTW, Nick, is that a Tapatio Salsa bottle in your avatar?

So I hope you waited until after the '05 MY Chevy Diesels came out to buy a better product. Those Duramaxs have been nothing but junk up until '05 where they got most of their issues straightend out. But I wont go into the issues since Im sure you did all your homework to get the "best product available." Youre also comparing apples to oranges. The 6L Ford is a POS diesel engine that has nothing but issues. Buy a 7.3L-PSD and see if your opinions change even slightly.

But, I will agree with you on the Allison. Its a great transmission, especially if you have an exhaust brake, theyre great to tow with. As long as its not too heavy of a load, those little 6.6s get tired easily :beer

Thats it JJ has too much money and spends it on anything in the world, sure he has a nice trophy truck but I watched him at the Parker 425 and the Laughlin SCORE race and he drives like a bicth. Last place in the SCORE race and broke in the Parker race. I race desert and personally think I could drive his truck better. Even though I dont race trucks.

As far as being a great faber, seems like he can do it... but from his old show, seems like all he could do was make a set of headers.

Nice first post. How about introducing yourself. What Class do you race in and what series? Throw up some pictures of your car. Welcome to FSB!

I too used to laugh at JJ with his bouncing around and crashing everything he touched, but he's gained alot of respect from me with his successful solo run in the 1000 and I believe, 80th position overall. That shows that one, he's serious and two, he has learned alot and gained enough experience to keep his truck together for such a long race. All the money certainly doesn't make anyone drive well, but most of us would race a TT if we could.

what is apples to oranges??? they are both diesel engines that are available to the public in 3/4 ton trucks. the 7.3 is a better choice than a 6.0 but neither compare to the dmax and especially the cummins. i know you bleed blue but my dmax tows my toys just fine and has never left me stranded unlike lots of powerstroke owners. and yes i do my research on everything i buy, in '02 i needed a crew cab diesel, dodge didn't make a crew cab and ford had that shitty trans behind the 7.3. i bought the best thing at the time, apples to apples.

just like when i was in the market for a new prerunner, i wanted a blazer but the bronco is hands down a better choice. i ride a ktm dirtbike because it is the best bike for what i do.

it's all good but you die hard brand guys just crack me up, you would buy a steaming pile of shit if it was sitting on the lot with a blue oval on it and be totally happy with your choice.

until you drive a race truck yourself, keep it to yourself!!! you can't have an opinion since you have no experience at all. just because he has $$$ and spends it the same way i would doesn't make him a bad guy. he is one hell of a fabricator and he just finished the 1000 (1300 miles) by himself, i want to see you do that... i know i couldn't!!! who's the bitch???

To all bringing negativity,

The BroncoSpeed section has had a good run so far. The threads have remained civilized and positive. Do us all a favor and keep childish remarks to yourself. This new section of the board has actually brought back a few users that were previously run off by Jerks, know-it-alls and general close-mindedness. It's also attracted some good new people and knowledgeable users that in my opinion are contributing a lot to the board. I for one would like to keep this momentum up. Anyone else with me?

As for Jesse, regardless of how he may portray himself on TV sometimes, it seems all that actually know him really like him. I know a handful of everyday people that have met him in person and each one (including my own mom) has said he was absolutely down to earth, easy to approach and great to talk to.

Chevys, Fords, Dodges, Toyotas, etc? Come on. A cool truck is cool truck. It's great that a lot of us here are Ford guys, but do we have to be stupid too?

Stepping off the soapbox....
